Two openings on the coaching staff

My apologies for this just now getting posted, as I was driving. Also, it sounds like this was a mutual parting of ways.

I can confirm the report (via D1Softball) that Texas associate head coach Ehren Earleywine is no longer with the program. He accepted an assistant coach position at Tennessee. Earleywine was originally hired by Mike White in August of 2025.

I'd look at minor league baseball hitting coaches. A top college softball program like Texas could be a career upgrade.

Roughly 80% hit rate, maybe a little higher? Kids change their mind all the time. No problem.

Well, considering that you've posted that nobody but Mike White liked Earlywine, he doesn't always hire well. Sounds like they succeeded this year despite the groundswell of hatred for the guy amongst the players and staff.

Her fielding and her arm are elite. A couple of plays at third really saved the day. Love her speed as well. I expect great things from her as she continues to develop.🤘🏻

Mike White will make elite hires no doubt. This also shouldn’t affect the portal at all. We’re Texas.

Mike White hires well. He’s used to it because his coaches are always getting head coaching jobs. I miss Singleton and he had a rough first year at Cal.

Any former Mike White players from Oregon or Texas with experienced success college coaches he can hire.

Yeah, I know that. That's why I said what I said. My point is that if KZ resigned due to Earlywine being part of White's staff, that reason no longer exists.

Both were apparently Mike Whites call.

Earlywine has accepted a position at the University of Tennessee. So mark that reason off your list.

Well, if Earlywine was really the reason for leaving, maybe she can rescind her resignation and hang around.

So Texas is getting two new assistants coaches.

She left with no job plans yet.

weird that it hasn't been announced she is a head coach anywhere. Seems like they decided to part ways.
