  1. Past hour
  2. They're basically treating JMU's schedule the same as Texas or Vandys SEC schedule. That's just wrong on so many levels. The system is essentially broken.
  3. Yep. Strength of schedule means little to nothing.
  4. Because all it takes is for one of those bench guys to develop into a really good player and it's worth it. Plenty of examples of that happening across CFB.
  5. This season's outcome by the committee is actually worse. Unlikely to see an upset by JMU and Tulane while TV ratings favorites/Blue Bloods like Texas and ND are sitting out. Never thought I would like the former final 4 or 8 better. Hell, even the old BCS system was more interesting. It's not basketball and thus the chances for "Cinderella" upset victories amount to zero. CFB CFP is FUBAR.
  6. We dog walked both Oklahoma and A&M… Alabama gets embarrassed by Oklahoma and Georgia… and is in with 3 losses. Texas is the most hated team in college football. We went from the most overhyped team in pre season to the most under rated(though slightly manic) team in the country. SOS… sending out an SOS! It should matter. I root for the little guys but having James Madison and Tulane in the playoffs is a joke. As money floods in the class of college football is eroding into the same poopoo the NFL has become.
  7. Sort of happy there was chaos, will force everyone to rethink things… the system is definitely not setup correctly.
  8. Today
  9. I'd like the committee to be able to change seeds to avoid rematches as much as possible. Swap Bama and Miami, Tulane and JMU. Punishes the 1st match loser. On the plus side, no ohio state/ Indiana rematch until the title game, though Indiana will probably face the Ducks after the NIL bowl if they beat Tech. And, maybe that's how ND was dropped (head to head Miami loss along with an Aggie matchup).
  10. i'm just glad ND didn't make it. i'm glad I was wrong about that. whoever said if DUke won, they could be left out--props to you!
  11. Strength of schedule meant zero to this committee.
  12. Need conference divisions again to make it more black and white or no CCG.
  13. They are telling you they only care about the W-L column. Sark better not lose to Ohio st in 2026.
  14. CCG margin and play with loss should matter. Close loss shouldn't matter IE OSU and Indiana
  15. Playoff committee is a joke right now. BYU above TX is nonsense. Alabama’s not been playing great football for several weeks; hope they get dog walked. James Madison & Tulane, come on, what are we doing? Simply expanding to 16 isn’t the fix unless this other crap gets fixed as well. My .02.
  16. I hope Oregon beats James Madison 100-0.
  17. Including smaller schools makes sense in basketball not football. Scrap this model
  18. True, but if you're going to penalize byu by leaving them out due to a ccg loss then do the same with bama. Texas's record is a better 3 loss team, and should have been in over bama after that loss. The whole, "they beat Georgia", well Texas has beat a&m, ou, and vandy. Plus let's not forget that fsu loss is worse than Florida.
  19. Sagarin's ratings have James Madison rated #28 and Tulane at #46. Those aren't even top 25 teams, much less one of the 12 best.
  20. The committee left BYU ahead of Texas. Just complete and utter bullshit man. Truly truly laughable
  21. CFP makes no logic. ACC review has more clarity.
  22. System is definitely screwed up ... but Bama won at Georgia BYU has zilch, and would get dog walked at Georgia
  23. James Madison and Tulane in a playoff. LMAO.
