Brad Kay started following Would you for 2.7mill?

Low ball offer. I was offered $3.5M.

100% no way!!! And I'm 75 years old, their production has declined, but I still want them.

In the mid-1990s I adopted/rescued two abandoned kittens for my young (then) daughter. The two cats were male litter mates... one was an Orange Tabby, like in Gerry's pic above, and the other was a typical Black cat. My wife and I debated what to name the cats... the first thought was Pinkney and Adams, for the two Longhorns WRs of the era... but we settled on Troy (Orange cat) and Emmitt (Black cat) because the Dallas Cowboys were on a Super Bowl roll. Gerry's pic above is a dead ringer for Troy! RIP Troy and Emmitt the cats (2014). They were great pets for our daughter and the neighborhood kids. Long story... apologies, but the picture got me because of the great memories. PS our daughter graduated from UT in 2017. Hook 'Em!

I don't agree that Matas is a necessity. He's good offensively at times, but he turns the ball over so much and is so limited defensively that it's not really even a wash. He's definitely not worth more than 2 mil. I'm guessing Swain is gone to the draft, Heide and Wilcher transfer and the rest of the roster is completely fungible. The combo guard stuff is hit or miss, whereas true a point is gold. I hope Miller looks at the backcourt from this season and realized he better get a real lead guard. He was a real lead guard, so you'd think he'd understand that.

Cronin's a good coach. He can be acerbic with the media, but he really knows what he's doing. -

Collin Simmons has a greater purpose than just playing football. You can tell he has a perspective on what he needs to do. I see him making a huge impact in favor of special needs children. Especially those with autism. I have a son on the spectrum, fortunately on the lower end. I just give him his space.

I am surprised the UCLA coach hasn't been fired. He is such an odd dude. -
Madi Booker AP National Player of the week

She's very unselfish. She gets her teammates involved. Is the voice in the huddle. Her skillset is like very few. She has a great personality. Maddie needs her jersey in the rafters when she graduates. -

Blair doesn't need to follow her dad at Texas. She needs to go forge her own trail. Once Coach Vic leaves, CDC will already have someone in mind. And that individual will be proven, have experience, and a winning record. -

Above average, yes in my adult lifetime. Texas is an above average program historically, and since 2000. A top 25 level program. But truly doing what it takes to take the next step over time? No. What I would label as content, yes. -

Texas women's basketball is top tier program in their college sport. A history of elite winning. An NC, 4 Final Four's, 13 Elite 8's, etc... I think Texas womens NIL advantage is real - in terms of where they sit. But maybe a little overblown too. The whole deal with women's college hoops IMO is ... there isn't depth of talent in the women's game. There is a substantial drop off between you top tier and second tier, and a huge drop off after that. If a tier 1/blue blood hires a high end coach in the women's game, they can be very elite or dominant because of the lack of depth of talent. Texas has done that with Vic. Texas men aren't even close to that. Near zero history of winning on an elite level. Never played for an NC. One FF since 1947, etc... Not near a tier 1 or blue blood. Not a destination school in their sport. etc -

But that Texas team wasn't close to a normal blue blood roster. Beard is legitimate great coach that has messed it up. Not a current NBA player on that team. Couple of two-way contract guys -

Yeah I agree. I could see him coaching into his 70s and hand it off to Blair (like Coach K did with Jon Scheyer) or they’ll hire a proven winner externally once he retires. But he has a chance to take the program to heights that even Jody Conradt did not reach and win multiple national championships. The biggest competition will of course be South Carolina and LSU in conference and UConn out of conference, but the way they’re recruiting high school and internationally, utilizing the portal, and developing players, they will be a pain to deal with for a while. -

Parker could potentially be WR 6 at Texas if he was on the team now.
