  2. Duke is not serious about football
  3. Save the dry powder for Portal
  4. Their athletic programs do not compare to TX and Cali. Great athletes, but the school system is not really set up to support Athletics.
  5. Somebody preemptively fired their HC, is going to find that there’s not enough big names to go around, will stumble into hiring Petrino on the cheap and be very happy they did it. Also, he’s very welcome to advise our offensive staff if he were to be so inclined.
  6. While I don't have a breakdown by sport, this is interesting. Below from my Austin chapter football referee newsletter just now. 🤘 Texas Leads the Country in High School Athletic Participation According to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) website, Texas has the largest number of high school sports participants with 364,020 girls and 515,383 boys for a combined total of 879,403 during the 2024-2025 school year. California holds down the second spot with a combined total of 852,575. Rounding up the top five are Ohio at 335,808, Pennsylvania at 333,123, and Illinois at 328,362.
  7. I’m still wondering how the Bowman deal went through. He’s being paid like he’s Travis Kelce haha
  8. This is my thought process as well. We keep hearing people talking about "rev share" as if the school truly has to stay within the $20.5 mil, but the third party deals are how many other schools like TTU, USC, Ohio State are getting around it. The numbers that are coming out right now do not back up the idea that you have to stay within the "rev share." But, unfortunately, that is what it seems Texas has mostly decided to do. When I hear "you can't pay everyone", I have to wonder if that is just a way of saying that Texas doesn't want to play in the third party world like many of the schools who seem to be landing and flipping higher rated prospects. I understand that a whole class is not going t one 4 and 5 stars, but I think we are past the days of "Sark stays on his guys". This week and all of the offers that have gone out to guys that weren't even on the board proves this.
  9. Today
  10. Very bad hire if true. Dudes an average head coach who caught lighting in a bottle to win a national title.
  11. I mostly agree, although I could see Miss St as well being able to interpret all of that. What I would love more than anything is to see Coach O on the sidelines wearing blue and orange in Gainesville. The UF fans would have a blast with that! 🤣
  12. They need to figure out a way to have obvious calls be able to be called from the booth on things like PI or blatant holds that the SEC refs like to pretend don’t take place.
  13. Is Neto an attitude/effort issue vs. not as talented as expected? This is his fourth year in the program, I wouldn't think they would let him hang around if it was the former.
  14. 35- 24 Georgia. really hope its not the case but this year has been painful. Hard to believe they have turned a corner until they win a game like this.
  15. Good match. This is the only other place Coach O can go besides LSU and not need an interpreter. Ok, well, maybe. 🤷
  16. I hope I’m wrong, but I fear we’ll get crushed in Athens.
  17. I had this exact same thought last week. I get real time feedback when I’m screwing up at my job. If a crew is consistently missing holding calls they should be told so by the “centralized oversight room” during the game. Maybe at the end of each quarter some feedback.
  18. A blended family mix of Coach O’s chaos with Petrino’s scenic-route decision-making? The Hogs might be the first program ever to lead the nation in both rushing offense and HR investigations. Arkansas wants juice, sure… but are they really ready to jump into the blender?
  19. Every week we see games swing on bad spots, missed holds, mystery DPI, clock screwups, and “after further review… who knows?” moments. Meanwhile the sport is worth billions, the technology clearly exists, and other leagues are already using versions of this stuff. I’m not talking about replacing refs with robots. More like: Real-time ball/line tracking AI flagging obvious misses for review A centralized oversight room that standardizes rulings Automated clock/spot corrections Data-based grading for ref crews Basically, give officials the tools to stop human error from dictating outcomes.
  20. Just stumbled upon this beauty of a “third-party” NIL that LSU is 100% using to pay recruits before they show up on campus. When @Gerry Hamiltonsays pressure from the collectives to stay committed, this is exactly what he is talking about. Brysten Martinez and Richard Anderson are both featured on here lmao https://www.instagram.com/reliefwindows?igsh=NXJmNDVncG9oZzN4
  21. We need some Wyatt Earp stuff from Arch. That's like 5-0 versus death.
  22. This where im at 37-20 Texas
  23. Over Arizona and Texas
