  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of cash is winning if he manages it well. These kids are going to work at 18. I think grabbing the bag and going to Tech at this point is very smart.
  3. Texas HS football legend redefines success in life after the game https://share.google/KqXOLnkwKopY2eSzz
  4. This was also a big factor in the Mississippi State comeback
  5. One thing that jumped out at me that makes total sense which I've not seen discussed yet: Our RB's chipped well on their blitzing defenders to give Arch ample time to get past 1st and many times 2nd reads. Having Baxter fully back to add depth to that spot was instrumental. https://youtu.be/OIzSev3fbCk?si=uAcCUkrNd5NNsdlp
  6. You're just a kid. (I'm 73)
  7. Kirk was writing for the Daily Texan when I was in school there. His stuff has baffled me over the years.
  8. Today
  9. Consistently giving 8 yard cushions while playing bail technique is on the coaches. PK automatically playing prevent defense when we have anything more than a 7 point lead is coaching. PK just plays soft in the secondary.
  10. At the end of the season yes.
  11. Unpopular take: I’ll let Sark and PK figure it out.
  12. It also doesn’t seem Derek Williams is back to 100% or to the level he was playing at last year
  13. Three weeks ago four weeks ago, he praised the defense how great they are now they’re trash, my goodness
  14. Frank was highly decorated for his actions in W.W.II.
  15. It was both imo.
  16. I knew Frank a little. One of the only games he ever missed was for his service in WWII and awarded the French Legion of Honor.
  17. Having attended well over 150 Longhorn games myself I salute Scott Wilson for his streak. I knew two other gentlemen with very impressive game records, Frank Denius and John Davis. I think at one point in the early 2000s that Frank had only missed a handful of games since the end of World War II. I'm curious if any other readers of OTF knew Frank or "Little John."
  18. Beautiful read, @General Grant. HookEm.
  19. You have a short QB - what happened to getting hands up in his face?
  20. Why aren’t pur backups as good as our experiences starters? Lol.
  21. Fellas, there were no Jahdae Barrons or Andrew Mukubas playing for the Horns yesterday. And when you lose Jelani McDonald and don’t have Michael Taaffe, well, you can be had. My point? It’s not coaching. It’s talent and/or inexperience.
  22. @Waxahorn, it was so damn bad, I have been bandt from rewatching the game by my wife. AND the dawgs. Apparently I became too animated and threatened the Samsung.
  23. I doubt it's PK's fault if that's the guys he wanted recruited for his D. Seems like Akina and PK not on the same page or maybe Akina has too much input? Something isn't meshing with them.
  24. I recall several against Miss State, especially that shovel pass lol. Florida torched them, too. UTEP found gaps. It's been there all year, we just haven't seen it to the degree now. Though I do agree that we had guys playing that haven't much experience that had to sub in. Not really sure what the issue is tbh. Some of the blown coverages against Vandy are inexcusable. 4th and 19 shouldn't have a wide open dude, 67 yard TD to their best receiver, etc.
  25. We have been recruiting man to man corners and are getting destroyed playing zone. Teams are finding the open grass and exploiting us. Really wish we played more man like we did at Ohio State but we aren’t for some reason. Is that PK or the position coaches fault? Having said all that, how good would our secondary have looked without all the holds that got called allowing receivers to get open?
  26. @Gerry Hamiltonon the opposite hand, obviously Heupel’s seat isn’t hot… yet, are we veering in that direction?
