Notre Dame Opts Out Bowl Game
John F. replied to Texas fan in Georgia's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Weak and soft move by ND to opt out. But also good because it’s another bit of pressure to change the current format. The 2026 clause is garbage and I expect the major conferences to push back hard. -
Gotta start a list of how many Texas players can do a windwill dunk... Saw Arch do it too

He and Jamarion Carlton had a little fun back and forth earlier.

We should opt out of all games to avoid injuries then. -
Pretty darn impressive! 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds all while still being just 16 years old. Wesley is going to be a fun player over the years.

No offense taken. But please, explain how I am "week minded" because I want to use this game to our advantage as a springboard to 2026. -

Campbell and perhaps Goosby if he goes. -
Here is a breakdown of SEC Schools and # of top 20 teams each school plays Here is Big 10, along with ND, Miami & Tx Tech. ND & Miami are pathetic and Tx Tech is an absolute joke. No Utah or BYU for Tx Tech's conference games next yr and non-conference games against Abilene Christian, At Oregon St, and Sam Houston. There is such a huge disparity in SEC/Big 10 games vs. ACC & Big 12. The SEC doesn't even include teams like LSU, Florida and Tennessee that could easily be top 20 next year based upon talent levels. Texas has to play at LSU and Tennessee next year, and both are very difficult road environments. It will be interesting to see if Ohio St were to lose to Texas on the road next year and then if they were to lose 2 other games. Will they get the Texas treatment?

You say that as if it is a good thing, or anywhere remotely close to good. Like saying that a basketball player "still shot 20% from the field".

That rule for 2026 is just another ridiculous concession. -

Pansies, beat A&M or Miami 🤷🏼♂️but why turn the bowl game down when you can go prove you belong in the CFP -

Isn’t the University of Texas football team a team that plays football? Or any football team for that matter? If so, why would you not play another game? It’s what they do right? The Longhorns are a football team lol. -

How many of our starting O line need to opt out before rethinking Arch’s reps? -
I can’t believe it, but Yurachek outdid himself

The committee showed this year they they don’t have an issue moving ND a spot (or more) at the last minute. Can’t wait until next year when ND is 12 going into final weekend and end up 13. 🤪 - Today

I hope Texas does not oot out for 1 reason and 1 eeason only. The extra practicws for the younger players and early enrollees will help development. As far as the CFP that committee should be laughed out of college football -
Still averaged 3.6 pc and was the best pass blocker in the backfield. Def did not have the same explosive pop he had prior to injury, but he did get back on the field ahead of schedule. If his recovery continues at the rate it has so far I would not be suprised if he regains 80 to 90% of that back by week 1 of the 26 season. Just my humble opinion.
