  1. Past hour
  2. Again, he's been good. Wouldn't call his full body of work great. Not calling for his job, just saying I think we would be ok with another guy. Also, there is ample room for the other guy to be even better. Especially at recruiting. Another thing: both of the guys you listed were late round selections. Jones was a quality placement in the draft based upon how much he had to be coached up, but in reality in 2025 every OL from Texas should be going to the draft with the resources we have. We should be able to recruit OL at a top 5 to top 10 level and develop all of our starters into at least seventh round picks. When we have OL starters going as FAs, that's when we're putting up under 50 yards rushing vs quality defenses and making Arch run for his life.
  3. There's actually another person on the committee that was a former Arkansas AD, Chris Long. So at least 1/6 of the voices on the committee are from Arky. I think 2 people on a committee could be pretty persuasive. But Arkansas is just one of the chiefs of Texas hate. And Yurachek is the chair. The chair does take responsibility for the actions and decisions of the committee. That always comes with the territory of being a/the leader.
  4. Flood has 2 RTs drafted Jones and Williams!
  5. No, it's not bad. And I don't want Flood to leave. But "always top notch" is a strong statement with only 2 LTs in his track record. The RTs have been good not great imo. Again, I don't want Flood to leave. But I don't think it would be the end of the world if he did. I haven't been absolutely blown away by his full body of work, or his recruiting. I think upgrading could be a possibility.
  6. Bingo. The 105 helps more with portal than HS in my opinion.
  7. Agreed. Plus, with 105 scholarships you can now afford to take a couple of high-ceiling developmental prospects in the portal.
  8. I believe it would be a good take, Cunningham may not end up a linebacker and Okpala may end up more of Trey Moore or Brad Spence role. Not a lot of true linebackers.
  9. I remain intrigued by the market for USC LB Matai Tagoa'i. Was someone Texas liked out of high school, but fits more of the developmental category than instant impact. He was listed at 6-4, 205 lbs on USC's official roster. On top of that, he only saw 35 snaps. But he had 25 offers in HS and was ranked as a top 100 player in the class.
  10. Sacks and interceptions are numbers 😉
  11. Today
  12. So what? 2 LT out of 2 going 1st round is bad? Baker might be a first round if he keeps improving, cam williams would've been a first round if he stayed one more year... Get real dude Flood knows how to teach the tackle position. Also the thing about 5 stars working out and getting drafted 1st round shouldn't be a bad thing lol
  13. He was carried by Skattebo last year. Had a solid game against Tech this year where they lost their QB and they were able to control the clock. Showed his backside when the going got tough and eventually quit on his team. Perfect fit for Kiffin and LSU.
  14. I'm not a Leavitt fan. But any quarterback with a capable arm should put up big numbers in Kiffin's offense.
  15. Not sold on him like our boy Gerry I think he is overrated also he has a bad attitude watched a few games last year and he would throw a fit on the field when something would go his way. Poor leader so fits lane perfectly
  16. Downside of having ex head coaches “assist” you for a year until they get their next head coaching job. They get to learn from your operation and poach from within. Seems like hiring the wrong analyst can do long term harm to your program.
  17. I'm not sold on Leavitt. His season derailed with a lisfranc injury requiring season-ending surgery. That injury requires a lot of healing (~6mo or more) meaning he may miss spring ball too. Part of his game is his mobility and this injury directly affects that. Plus, defenses in the SEC are a completely different animal. That's a lot of money to gamble on a maybe.
  18. Is there any interest in Josh Atkins from ASU?
  19. Hasn’t Kyle Flood only had like 2 left tackles the entire time he’s been here? Lol And one of those dudes was a prodigy
  20. Maybe. But chambliss also is trying to gain another year of eligibility. May or may not get it
  21. Looks like Kiffin is going to start pissing away that $25 million NIL budget right away.
  22. be careful what you wish for... Flood has had some problems in the interior but his tackles have always been top notch. Grass isn't always greener.
  23. The way to have responded and carried yourself on this thread is unfortunate. whether you realize it or not your attitude does more to potentially undermine your own stated goal of maintaining a community around Texas football than someone making a harmless joke. Nevertheless, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt because oftentimes we can misunderstand each other when communicating electronically instead of in person.
  24. Chambliss is a better QB than Levitt.
  25. Yeah it’s hard to fail in the Kiffin offense. But you could find much better QBs that will most likely come at a cheaper price tag than Leavitt.
