I was born in 1969 and was given my first radio in 1978. I used to sit in my room and listen to Z97, which eventually became Eagle 97 a few years later, a Dallas pop station. Most of the music that I listened to was Supertramp, Little River Band, Toto, the Doobie Brothers, etc. It was just late 70's soft rock. XM came along and gave it a name.

Continuing my Marc Cuban pansy theme: Yes, Mark Cuban voted in favor of the 2001 NBA rule changes that legalized zone defense, a package widely acknowledged as an attempt to curb the absolute dominance of Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant's Los Angeles Lakers. -

Yeah...I hope NR is as good as some here think...For me, though LWC is going to be the better of the two...barring injuries, of course! Good luck to the both of them! HOOKEM -

Royal's status seems to be stable with Texas. Sure would love to get Williams-Callis to Texas. What a RB duo (he and Noah Roberts) that could be. -

Totally agree...OU’s ‘dynasty’ exists because Texas hasn’t bothered to enter the sport. And in a state where gymnastics is already huge? UT would snap up the talent overnight and the okies lose their last talking point -

This softball team is so tuff, I love it. -
She struggled mightily at the plate tonight but had a nice play late in the game

Weird, Texas had a 2nd/3rd teamer come off the bench to HR against a Big12 team and help Texas win. -
Thanks for the updates

Women's Golf is in a good position after 2/4 stroke play rounds. They are in 8th. The top 15 advance after the 3rd round and the top 8 advance to match play after the 4th round. They are just a few strokes away from 4th place, but also just a few places away from 13th place. -

26 points on the line in this Super Regional for Softball. Would hurt but not a fatal blow to Texas. Baseball, has earned 25 points only with a predicted finish of 78. So, they still have 53 points they need to earn by winning games. Both teams could fall short of the prediction and Texas still has room to work with. Ideally, if they do drop points it isn't a large amount but we can survive in the Directors' Cup even if they do. -
