Google Gemini after some tweaking and clarification: CFP PrincipleAnalysis for 9-3 TexasArgument for Playoff Deservability Win-Loss Record (9-3)Still the primary objective flaw (quantity). The Strength of Record (SoR) and quality of wins/losses override the mere quantity of wins. The three losses are justified and mitigated, making this a 9-3 of significantly higher value than a typical 9-3. Strength of Schedule (SoS)Elite. The schedule includes four marquee opponents: Georgia, Ohio State (close losses), Oklahoma, and Texas A&M (signature wins). The committee rewards teams who play and beat the best. These wins and competitive losses prove Texas is one of the 12 best teams. Their schedule is a better measure of quality than the schedule of a 10-2 team from a weaker conference. Quality WinsSuperior. Wins over SEC rivals Oklahoma and Texas A&M are definitive evidence of strength and capability against high-talent, playoff-caliber teams. This gives Texas the necessary wins to balance the three losses. They beat elite teams, they didn't just almost beat them. "Bad Loss" (Florida) MitigationEliminated. Florida is an SEC team with NFL talent. Crucially, the committee can factor in the missing secondary players. The loss can be viewed as an outlier caused by a specific competitive disadvantage, not a fundamental flaw in the team's overall strength.By officially considering the unavailability of key secondary players, the committee can effectively assign a lower penalty to the Florida loss, viewing it closer to a "quality loss" than a "bad loss." Comparative OutcomesTexas's overall resume (2 close losses to top 4 seeds, 2 signature SEC wins, 1 mitigated loss) is demonstrably superior to any 10-2 non-champion with a weaker schedule or a different combination of wins and losses. They have the strongest 9-3 case possible, making them more worthy of the 11th or 12th At-Large spot than a less tested 10-2 team.

College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

If I was PSU I’d be making a push for DeBoer with Sitake as a backup. If DeBoer gets his @$$ handed to him in Atlanta Bama fans may be disgruntled enough for DeBoer to feel like he’s had enough -

What? Re-read. I'm talking about Sitake being a downgrade from JF. Of course PSU is an upgrade from BYU. That would be an underwhelming hire on PSU's part lol -

It will be beautiful if BYU loses to Tech and then Sitake takes the PSU job. Will immediately have BYU out of the CFP convo -

What. PSU is definitely an upgrade from BYU. Put down the pipe immediately. -

I've seen this tossed around but it seems like a lateral hire or downgrade from JF. Would be very underwhelming. Feel like he's squeezing BYU for a raise. -

That's the plan. -
If DeBoer lost Iron Bowl, I think Bama fires him and gets Kiffin. I feel Penn St is waiting on Brian Hartline.

I believe they made a run at Sark when Saban left . It was a big no thanks then & it would be a big no thanks now. Sark is Loyal to Texas.

I’ll just say this. Sark was on a roll with the portal when he started building around Ewers. Getting AD was the perfect pairing to X. Getting Golden was a stroke of genius and paring him with Bond was an elite move. Arch deserves those kinds of first round draft picks around him at Texas. Yes, OL is priority one. But getting an elite RB1 who defenses have to game plan around and getting a WR1 who can take the top off a defense is also imperative if we are wanting to really go all in and maximize our time with Arch. So far we’ve let him down imo. -

At the beginning of December... I'm wondering about Coach Prime in Boulder. He's been through a very serious health situation and the Buffs seem to be stuck in neutral... better than when he joined CU but the future doesn't seem very exciting. -

Will Stein was just hired at Kentucky, he should have that offense humming….any reason he was never brought on staff at Texas while he was at lake Travis? Also, what a significant jump to go from being the OC at Lake Travis to a SEC head coaching job in 6 years -
I've heard the same about Riley from a USC alum friend of mine. He says that SC's #1 recruiting class currently may help with those who want him to stay. I have nothing but watching body language on the sideline on TV, but DeBoer doesn't seem to be having much fun. I'd think he might prefer going back out West to Happy Valley PA.
