  1. Past hour
  2. We couldn’t afford him.
  3. Brian Kelly was not a CAA / Sexton client. So, at LSU, Sexton just got one of his clients (Kiffin) a top 10 job while replacing a Trace Armstrong client (Brian Kelly) in the process. That’s a big win for CAA / Sexton. At Penn State, Sexton’s client (James Franklin) got humiliated with a mid-season firing….thereby damaging one of his star client’s perceived value. Sexton got Franklin a decent landing spot (Va Tech) but at a lesser value. One assumes Franklin was not able to land another blue blood type of job, which means his value has diminished…thus the possibility of Sexton’s ire toward PSU.
  4. That door is closed and welded shut
  5. Meaning the check has cleared?
  6. I'm not sure, but I was speaking to some Longview fans that seem to think he'll enter.
  7. If this is true, why did sexton not give LSU the same treatment? a guy working on a % wouldn’t tell a client not to get a raise if the client wanted the job. would he?
  8. Has he even played at all? Didn’t he tear his knee up?
  9. Speaking of coaching turnover, wow there are some head scratchers with several of the hires. Surprised to not see Clark Lea, Kenny Dillingham or Brent Key hired into one of the bigger schools.
  10. Today
  11. A lot of USC guys going in the portal
  12. Apparently word is that Hale is also going to transfer.
  13. and why not? He drops passes, pouts, blocks like a matador
  14. Gotcha, appreciate the response.
  15. For those wondering … Will Baker is in the NBA G-league
  16. Texas would take Martinez. I believe he wants to stick with LSU as long as Kiffin’s messaging is there. Martinez really likes Brad Davis, but Davis appears unlikely to be the OL coach long term
  17. You definitely don’t. lol Hes still listening enough to where you know he has some level of reservation with Michigan. See what he does Wednesday. It’s Michigan until it isn’t.
  18. That’s not happening, barring the unforeseen
  19. He’s a tackle in college coaches minds, so not at Texas in year one as a starter. If he changed his mind on Michigan, he would have nothing to do with interiorneed in portal
  20. Lee strikes me as a warm weather dude. He will freeze in Michigan.
  21. With all the crazy turnover in college coaching and player attrition, I’m fired up about the HC we have going into signing day, opportunity to finish off the year on a high note and enter his 6th year with a team that’s filled with balance of experience, athleticism and grit. Pulling for Sark and the staff to do a great job closing out this season’s recruiting class, retaining our core and adding in key spots as we grow from 25 and prepare for a great run in 26. Watching what Kiffin just did, leaving his playoff bound team for greener pastures, lots to be grateful on the 40 acres. Btw, I don’t blame him, you can’t rely on building team through portal every year. Hook em!
  22. Sure, but that's assuming Lanning can't get whoever he wants at OC, which isn't true. But I understand what you're saying.
  23. Quacks OC leaving for Kentucky so never say never.
  24. Texas should circle back yet again on Jaken Lott especially now with the quacks OC headed to Kentucky.
  25. It was a joke website, but he definitely has fallen out of favor with DeBoer.
  26. Other notes or points of discussion. South Florida sent UF reeling. LSU got them at home and Lagway fell apart. Miami got them at their low point. The latter two games on the road. The week off prior to Texas allowed them to regroup and rally like they did last year. Manny was out and Wilson played for the first time. Their top 2 WRs versus us that accounted for 65% of their passing yards did not play versus Ole Miss. Wilson had about 20 snaps versus Georgia. Brown didn’t play versus Georgia. So, yes, their game versus Texas was very different from a timing, location and personnel standpoint.
