I could see him having a role in the RB room but counting on him to be in the top two would be a mistake. Seems like a great guy and hope he can fully get right but hope isn’t a strategy as they say. Not sure how having him be lower on the depth chart will work out with NIL. Also don’t know what his value would be in the portal market. Tough spot for him

Do you have some info you wish to share? I haven’t heard anything conclusive. He will look a lot different in the fall if he can stay healthy. He might have to take a pay cut but may want to graduate from here.

DeSoto defeats Willis: Jermaine Bishop Jr.

I’ll admit I think underrated him as a player. I don’t know when we have recruited a kid like him with his speed and versatility. I can’t see him not playing early. -
He clearly wasn’t fully healed this year. What he will be next year is all about if he can recover some of the explosiveness he once had.

I think you would want a more experienced depth guy. Your starters will be Lefeau and Smith. Your backups will already be young (but talented) in Barnes, Atkinson, Okpola. If you add a true older depth guy I’d be extremely happy. Now if a true game wrecker comes available, you get him and worry about hurting other feelings later -
He is Jonathan Gray part 2 unfortunately. Although he didn't have the knee injury he is just never healthy and can't seem to get going. I'm not sure I've ever seen a football player who gets dinged up so easily.

Watched the game on youtube. Bishop did a little showboating on them which I loved. We need someone with his intensity. Kohen Brown also looked good against Duncanville in a loss. -
Whether we are in or out this year, I am not for sure choosing a playoff bracket is ever going to be fair. Too much difference in the conferences and too much difference in the scheduling. Some teams have an extra hard game with a conference championship game and some don’t. Some don’t even have a conference. When it was 4 teams, 5,6,and 7 were arguing they should be in. I said if you go to 12, 13,14,and 15 will be arguing. You go to 16 or 18 and the same thing will happen. And alot of them have arguments. We’re just all different and it’s never going to be totally fair. Especially you have humans deciding it and the biases start coming in. Nobody that has ever been at Arkansas in any capacity is ever going to vote for Texas to be in. I guess play a weak schedule and win all the games and they can’t keep you out.

If you look at the composition of the committee it is basically a joke. They are all affiliated with football in some way, but not great football. Yurachek—give me a break. The AD from Virginia? There are a few people on here that MIGHT be good and watch every game and cafe, but let’s be real. With NIL and parity these are the people making the decisions. This is what we are up against folks: Chris Ault: Former Nevada head coach. Troy Dannen: Nebraska Athletic Director. Mark Dantonio: Former Michigan State Head Coach. Mark Harlan: Utah Athletic Director. Jeff Long: Former Arkansas & Pittsburgh AD. Ivan Maisel: College Football Journalist. Chris Massaro: Middle Tennessee State AD. Mike Riley: Former Nebraska & Oregon State coach. David Sayler: Miami University (Ohio) AD. Wesley Walls: Former Ole Miss All-American. Carla Williams: Virginia Athletic Director. Hunter Yurachek: Arkansas Athletic Director (Chair).

He isn't coming back

They don’t care. But I bet you Sankey raises enough hell at about 3 pm today that they’ll already be pushing to get 16 teams in next season. The AQ bids for the G5 and the ACC need to end. A team with 5 losses winning your conference tells me your conference isn’t strong enough to even have a say in the argument

I don't understand why the media (TV especially) don't apply more pressure on the committee to change the selection process. Nobody can't be interested and will watch a szoozefest like Oregon trashing JMU. Tulane might get lucky with OLe Miss being handicapped offensively but otherwise this also wouldn't be much of a contest. That's 2 out of 4 games in the first round (presumably) not drawing great viewership/ratings. How can they be happy with the current system?

The rest of the bracket is all chalk, except for 12 seed cal poly, advancing to the sweet 16. They play 1 seed Kentucky in Lexington this weekend so it’s likely that the Elite 8 consists only of teams ranked in the top 16 overall.
