  1. Past hour
  2. The A&M win is the biggest win in all of college football this season. With this golden ticket in hand, the CFP could put us wherever they choose and have the A&M win as justification should there be any backlash.
  3. Agents are like leaches, very difficult to rid oneself of them when they serve no purpose.
  4. Lincoln Riley has turned USC into a ferocious paper tiger. Made of premium Dunder Mifflin stuff. USC is the Mizzou of the Big10. Stays ranked even though they can’t beat a serious team. Solely for the purpose of Big10 teams/Notre Dame saying they have an impressive win. The Big10 and Notre Dame should hold a day of mourning and remembrance when USC finally parts ways with Riley.
  5. Good info. Thanks for sharing. I'd caution against blanket statements, however. They actually shouldn't have agents if the agents are going to take 15% of rev share. At that point, I'd shop myself and just hire a contract attorney to review and advise for about $1-2k instead of the $15k+ an agent might want.
  6. You're BS all the time.
  7. If we can afford him i'd love to have him obviously, but to me there's more pressing matters to address. I'd be more than fine if we get a P4 guy with production that is "underrated" and that is in a contract year. It seems to be working out well for Texas.
  8. I like Coleman, but as an SEC school dealing with revenue share you have to ask yourself if spending 3/4 million on WR is the best move IMO. I think if he enters he'll go to B10 school who's willing to have a WR room of him and a bunch of JAGs.
  9. Signing with a new agency is usually viewed as a posturing position. These 3 Longhorns signed with the same agency this season: Trey Owens - publicly signed* 10/12 Ryan Niblett - publicly signed* 11/12 Colton Vaskek - publicly signed* 11/28 **publicly signed with agency meaning they could have been with them before, but it was not posted until listed date Niblett getting new representation makes sense and it doesn't necessarily mean he is leaving. But he will likely be looking for more money/opportunity (as he should). The other 2 I would say are gone. Agency IG: @liftsportsmanagement This is neither a good nor bad thing btw. All of these guys should have agents. https://www.instagram.com/p/DPuHzUJATcK/?igsh=emxiM3diMHR5c3pt https://www.instagram.com/p/DQ-b1TPEQL-/?igsh=d3NwY3Rqcm1mOXRm https://www.instagram.com/p/DRqLM5lEjaT/?igsh=c2FoN21yNHB6djU5
  10. Even the Governor is piling on. Love it.
  11. I agree cause it shows an example where a top ten program chose the easier route to avoid the complex situation we found ourselves in. interesting to see how this plays out for sure
  12. Hartline is a coordinator, they don’t need to wait on him if he’s their guy.
  13. Replace Ohio St with Rutgers next year and get that vaunted Big 10 non-conference win.
  14. Best scenario in this week osu beats indisna 3 scores georgia pistol whips bama … bad! Next week they are #1 and # 2 ranked Texas resume is we lost to #1 by touchdown… no one played them better… and we had a chance at end! we lost to #2 Georgia beat #3 ranked A&m beat ou top 10 beat vandy top 10 8 th strongest str of schedule! besides Sayin -indianas qb??? Arch has some of the best stats goin i to playoff !
  15. Agree on a HC needing to be obsessed and have no hobbies or anything distracting outside of football. The wandering eye for other jobs is hopefully just speculation, and he also needs to fire his OC and promote the part time big game analyst, that guy's a genius.
  16. Vandy is doable bc of the head to head imo. That's an easy storyline to sell. Miami is trickier.
  17. I would love for that committee to give interviews and tell us why think Vanderbilt and OU are better than Texas? They won’t be able to, they will pivot and pivot.
  18. ND must join a Power 4 conference (ACC since all others already have) for football or be left out the CFP! No more special rules for ND crap!
  19. And you know this, how?
  20. Vandy is ridiculous. Why even play these games?
  21. Methinks those hoping for Cam Coleman to enter the portal might not like the result of it. Gerry stated before, Texas wouldn't be the only team chasing him - I would say that given he was committed to the aggies prior to flipping to Auburn that he'd give them a hard look considering what he's seen from their wideouts this year. Those farmers won some major portal additions last year, they'll be a thorn again this portal season.
  22. I went down a rabbit hole this morning regarding Notre Dame. First off, I'm not the biggest fan of FPI but I think it can be a useful metric. If you look at some of Notre Dame's wins, here how they rank in the FPI: 1. USC - 11 2. Pitt - 38 3. Arkansas - 41 Care to guess where Florida ranks? 36 That's right, terrible 4-8 Florida is actually a better team, according to FPI, than Notre Dame's second best win. But let's look at some on field results between Pitt and Florida to see if that makes sense, here are 2 common opponents: Miami and FSU Florida: 40 FSU: 21 Pitt: 34 FSU: 31 Florida: 7 Miami: 26 Pitt: 7 Miami: 38 I'm not saying that Florida beats Pitt but looking at FPI and on field results is very telling....
