  1. Past hour
  2. I like it, allows more rest until next match.
  3. His blocking ability would be a plus to the Texas staff. My only question is whether he has elite burst. Otherwise, he feels duplicative of Mosley.
  4. How do we host a regional and get the 12 PM game? Make it make sense
  5. Hearing him talk makes me understand why Arkansas sucks at football and other sports.
  6. My comparison is Burrow before his senior year. Leavitt is statistically is a superior QB to Burrow at the same point in both their college careers.
  7. Burrow as a junior was an afterthought to everyone. He didn't scare anyone before his senior year. Disagree all you want, no one thought Joe Burrow was anything special.
  8. Jeez Yale? He has the brains to pick up a playbook fast too
  9. really talented player
  10. I'm sorry but I'll have to strongly disagree on that comparison. Leavitt is much closer to Mateer than he will ever be to Burrow. Burrow had and still has an amazing instinct both in the pocket and in his downfield vision in finding zones and "pockets" of free space to attack the defense. That's what made him great, an uncanny vision/processing/memory accompanied by a very accurate arm. He manipulated defenses with his eyes. Leavitt is a gamer, he's slippery, he'll never be the processor and pocket passer that Joe Burrow was/is.
  11. Careful, he is an amazing escape artist similar to what Burrow was. The talent at LSU will dwarf ASU.
  12. Again, he's been good. Wouldn't call his full body of work great. Not calling for his job, just saying I think we would be ok with another guy. Also, there is ample room for the other guy to be even better. Especially at recruiting. Another thing: both of the guys you listed were late round selections. Jones was a quality placement in the draft based upon how much he had to be coached up, but in reality in 2025 every OL from Texas should be going to the draft with the resources we have. We should be able to recruit OL at a top 5 to top 10 level and develop all of our starters into at least seventh round picks. When we have OL starters going as FAs, that's when we're putting up under 50 yards rushing vs quality defenses and making Arch run for his life.
  13. Today
  14. There's actually another person on the committee that was a former Arkansas AD, Chris Long. So at least 1/6 of the voices on the committee are from Arky. I think 2 people on a committee could be pretty persuasive. But Arkansas is just one of the chiefs of Texas hate. And Yurachek is the chair. The chair does take responsibility for the actions and decisions of the committee. That always comes with the territory of being a/the leader.
  15. Flood has 2 RTs drafted Jones and Williams!
  16. No, it's not bad. And I don't want Flood to leave. But "always top notch" is a strong statement with only 2 LTs in his track record. The RTs have been good not great imo. Again, I don't want Flood to leave. But I don't think it would be the end of the world if he did. I haven't been absolutely blown away by his full body of work, or his recruiting. I think upgrading could be a possibility.
  17. Bingo. The 105 helps more with portal than HS in my opinion.
  18. Agreed. Plus, with 105 scholarships you can now afford to take a couple of high-ceiling developmental prospects in the portal.
  19. I believe it would be a good take, Cunningham may not end up a linebacker and Okpala may end up more of Trey Moore or Brad Spence role. Not a lot of true linebackers.
  20. I remain intrigued by the market for USC LB Matai Tagoa'i. Was someone Texas liked out of high school, but fits more of the developmental category than instant impact. He was listed at 6-4, 205 lbs on USC's official roster. On top of that, he only saw 35 snaps. But he had 25 offers in HS and was ranked as a top 100 player in the class.
  21. Sacks and interceptions are numbers 😉
