  1. Past hour
  2. Lee strikes me as a warm weather dude. He will freeze in Michigan.
  3. Today
  4. With all the crazy turnover in college coaching and player attrition, I’m fired up about the HC we have going into signing day, opportunity to finish off the year on a high note and enter his 6th year with a team that’s filled with balance of experience, athleticism and grit. Pulling for Sark and the staff to do a great job closing out this season’s recruiting class, retaining our core and adding in key spots as we grow from 25 and prepare for a great run in 26. Watching what Kiffin just did, leaving his playoff bound team for greener pastures, lots to be grateful on the 40 acres. Btw, I don’t blame him, you can’t rely on building team through portal every year. Hook em!
  5. Sure, but that's assuming Lanning can't get whoever he wants at OC, which isn't true. But I understand what you're saying.
  6. Quacks OC leaving for Kentucky so never say never.
  7. Texas should circle back yet again on Jaken Lott especially now with the quacks OC headed to Kentucky.
  8. It was a joke website, but he definitely has fallen out of favor with DeBoer.
  9. Other notes or points of discussion. South Florida sent UF reeling. LSU got them at home and Lagway fell apart. Miami got them at their low point. The latter two games on the road. The week off prior to Texas allowed them to regroup and rally like they did last year. Manny was out and Wilson played for the first time. Their top 2 WRs versus us that accounted for 65% of their passing yards did not play versus Ole Miss. Wilson had about 20 snaps versus Georgia. Brown didn’t play versus Georgia. So, yes, their game versus Texas was very different from a timing, location and personnel standpoint.
  10. Thanking the unseeble deities!!
  11. Any truth to some of the posts about Ryan William leaving Alabama for LSU? If so, any chance of us trying for him?
  12. Sark isn't Lane Kiffin.
  13. Do I see a "Hi" in your post there? Or did you not mean to do that? 😆
  14. I really don’t think that is going to happen. We took our shot. It wasn’t good enough. Oregon really didn’t want to lose him.
  15. If Stein goes from Oregon to Kentucky, does that open the door for a WR from North Texas with UT ties?
  16. They have said the number on OL is 5 so I assume theyd take both with wright out
  17. Florida was relatively healthy as a team, had a chip on their shoulder and was playing for their season at that point still. It still doesn't justify us playing like absolute dog water in that game though or making Lagway look better than he is.
  18. I'm assuming with Kiffin to LSU, Martinez is out of the picture and locked into LSU? Would you take both him and Lee or whoever you can land first?
  19. I don't think that one would happen, even if they did. He just doesn't want to be at Texas.
  20. Crazy to think about the average tenure of SEC coaches next year. I guess Kirby, Sark, Huepel and Clark Lea are the veteran coaches. The 9 game SEC schedule will drive more turnover. 1st or 2nd year coaches at most schools next year.
  21. One glimmer of hope for Texas regarding the Florida loss… It does help a bit that Florida blew out FSU on Saturday, since FSU beat Alabama by 14 points earlier in the season. Should Bama lose to UGA on Saturday (by 2-3 scores), it may help Texas if we’re compared to a 3-loss Bama with a “bad” loss to FSU. It offsets our “bad” loss to UF.
  22. Lane Kiffin if he doesn't sh*t the bed again at a Blue Blood, will succeed at LSU. That will be a home run hire, depending on what he does defensively.
  23. 10-13 total needed, by position 3 IOL (2 starting Guards, 1 OC to push Robertson for starting role) 1 swing OT (young OT who can spot start if needed in 2026) 1 WR (elite only, if available) 1-2 RBs (1 starter, and a J.Blue type of speed RB who can catch, if available) 1 QB - Matthew Caldwell redux 1 NT - Cole Brevard redux 1 ILB - run stopper / thumper 1 CB - At least good enough to be CB3 1 Safety - Starter quality 1 PK - Mason Shipley redux
  24. Sexton has way too much power, needs to be humbled a bit, imo.
  25. This is a very astute observation. Very, very few programs changing coaches are actually upgrading. Many are just replacing an HC with a speculative hire. This HC market was a complete imbalance of supply and demand. Most of the best HCs either signed extensions, or told their agents they weren’t interested in changing jobs - Ryan Day, Kirby, Lanning, Sark, DeBoer, Elko, Dabo, Cristobal, Ruhle, Campbell, Dillingham, etc. all chose to stay put in their current gigs. And potentially recycled former great HCs (Saban, Meyer, Gruden, Gundy, etc) chose not to join the fray either. So, you wind-up with SEC schools (Auburn, Ark, Florida) hiring a bunch AAC coaches or simply elevating assistants with no HC experience (Ole Miss). The supply of HCs on the market was so bad that Lane Kiffin was the best available, and Lincoln Riley wasn’t even worthy of interest.
