  1. Past hour
  2. Longhorn grad Scottie Scheffler, the world’s no. 1 golfer, is aiming for his first British Open Championship. He goes into tomorrow’s fourth and final round with a four-shot lead. https://www.theopen.com
  3. I don't have a favorite, all I know is football needs to get here and get here soon. I'm so starved for competition, I'm watching women's rugby.
  4. Today
  5. Relationship or transaction? A commitment is like winning Love Island and “signing” a pre-nup! I will increase your annual allowance as long as you still look good and put out, other wise you can portal back to the island if you think you can do better. There is always another pretty face that can take your place.
  6. Exactly what I was thinking too. Better have a backup plan and I’m sure they do.
  7. Caleb Bluiett wore No. 42 during his career (2012-16).
  8. He was drafted in 1952 by the Packers. Went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
  9. Was not Bobby Dillon a top NFL pick at DB back in the 40s? Did he play with Tom Landry?
  10. Anybody heard what Kimble Schuessler is doing? Is he trying to get on with a team as an undrafted free agent?
  11. I'm old enough to remember Anthony Curl playing linebacker for UT. If I remember correctly, he was a tackling machine!
  12. They fear the Texas brand…most importantly, Texas coming into their respective states and doing very well recruiting elite talent in their backyard like Georgia two years in a row as an example. The sleeping giant is now awake, and coaches like Kirby are now realizing the result. 🤘
  13. Well said, Bobby! Personally, I can’t stand Kirby Smart. Plus, someone needs to tell him to find another barber. That bowl cut haircut isn’t cutting it. Lol.
  14. We’re now officially 42 days away from the Horns taking on the Buckeyes in the season opener. Who is your favorite No. 42? Options today include… Bobby Dillon Richard Peavy Anthony Curl
  15. The difference between other programs and Texas, though, is that Texas is objectively/measurable better in quite a few ways. One of them, for instance: Austin is the largest American city with a flagship state university and no “big 3” pro sports teams. That is objectively important in the NIL age. Also, we are the only team that has been to both of the last two final fours. Also, the team with the most combined draft picks in the last two drafts. On the point about Dawg Nation trashing Atkinson: just another reason to be appreciative of the class of OTF.
  16. Makes me wonder why the staff went after these guys if this is something they already knew.
  17. Arch for Texas fans against Ohio State.
  18. This little guy reminds me of Kirby and the whiners about money and technology.
  19. Arch posting in St. Louis trenches.
  20. No doubt but there was an order of magnitude difference between the typical handshakes and the bag drops SEC schools were doing pre-NIL. And now there is another order of magnitude difference between those bag drops and the "NIL" today. For players in the UT roster they are probably literally making 100x what they were before NIL... (Talking in terms of pure cash, not counting the value of the scholarships and whatnot).
  21. Kirby needs to establish some relationships with the Athens PD. Lived there for a while when I was seventeen and eighteen without ever getting a single ticket.
  22. No one complained when they could come into Texas and poach whatever they wanted. Now that we do the same, it's the worst thing ever lol.
  23. Nope it’s all because of Smoke. Everything changed after Smoke.
