Burns with some praise for Haiden Leffew

Burns says being a “hired hitman” is all about knowing your role in the pen. When it’s time to get a kill, get a kill. When it’s time to sit down, sit down.

Ruger Riojas says he’s up to 205, gained about 10-15 pounds from a year ago. Riojas says he got sick with the flu, which turned into bronchitis, and lost about 20-25 pounds last year. Now he believes he’s back to where he was pre-illness

In regards to who on the staff could surprise this year, Tinney says “Thomas Burns could surprise some people.”

In regards to improvement for 2026, Tinney says he is hoping to chop down on his swing & miss rate

Tinney says the most impressive thing about Dylan Volantis is his composure.

Carson Tinney says the expectation is to win a National Championship. Says he spends a ton of time with the pitching staff, from cookouts to time at practice and the weight room. He is doing whatever he can to become familiar with the pitching staff.
