The mods have been talking about it in other threads before this redundant one popped up. Ojo has a lot of development needed. His rating will likely drop in the next round of rankings. He's still a great prospect. He's just not plug-n-play Kelvin Banks level.
-
Sounds like some of the people here need to talk to someone on the suicide hotline. 😃

It’s disappointing with what is out there at tackle and what we have to offer. We’re cheap and behind the game. We will catch up, but we spun our wheels a bit like we did at the first of NIL. Now, don’t get me wiring, only talking about tackles this cycle and being a little spoiled, but we should close on 2 out of the 5 or 6 elite tackles available. And if we do I will recant. Aside from recent recruiting, I’m not being negative. Our roster management is fantastic. Not speaking against that. We are going to throttle some people with our defense this year. I just can be realistic and critical when I see a chink in the armor as well.

Proven development from one of the best in college football and SEC exposure. Or go to Lubbock for more money and compete in the Big12.

Oh I agree 100%. They’ll figure it out just like they always do, but for now, it’s disappointing

Summer time recruiting under sark isn’t for fans who want top ranked players and a top ranked class at that time of the year. This time last year we were in the same boat or even worse, But somehow STILL ending up with the number one class. I don’t think the house settlement has much of anything to do with it.
-
Landing only Turtine compared to the OL class projections just a month ago, would be a major disappointment, barring a flip or two in December. welcome to the post settlement era I guess
-
Wish we could get back into recruiting Sam Utu. But, you guys are right Lee and turntine, priority.
-
Let’s change the title to “1-9”
-
Horns are in a good spot, especially after the addition of Okpala.
-
Is it fair to say Turntine and Ojo probably have similar NIL deals from Texas even though Ojo most likely values himself which is fine at a higher degree than other OT’s?
-
The you think thats why players come here, comment made me laugh so loud I pretty sure I might get evicted🤣
-
Reading a lot into what Gerry and CJ have been saying over the past year……Turntine is who we absolutely have to get tomorrow. He’s the next Kelvin Banks at left OT. Professional, strong culture fit, great frame, excellent projection at left OT for the next 3-4 yrs. Future first rounder if he takes care of business and stays healthy. The ultimate two OTs. would be Turntine and Lee if Texas had their way. Is that fair to say? Ojo is a great player that Texas wants but sounds like he may be more focused on NiL in the short-term versus development, winning and long-term growth. Maybe I’m over reading into things but it sounds like OTF expects Turntine to commit to the Horns and unsure what Ojo will do.

We need 2 5-star tackles? No team "needs" that. They would like that. A tackle class of Turntine, Wright and another top 150-200 level guy is a damn good class when you consider the early feedback on Nick Brooks from last year's class at the tackle spot.
-
And? Who else. Malakai Lee? We need 2
-
Sounding like it. Because they know history shows the NCAA is not shutting down a program like LSU or Bama.
-
im just saying not rb/wr/te/ot/LB/de/or DB
-
-
I don’t get it. Isn’t this 5 star worth it? We need 2
-
Pretty telling comment...
-
It is. They will for the right OT.
-
where is texas gonna have the highest offer? OT is pretty damn important
