Sark eyeing NFL per report
SchoolColors replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Would you like the Austin American statesmen to send you a newspaper which quotes the tweet from a reputable journalist? -
I thought that before this week. I don’t think all is well in Austin.

“Real journalism “ from who? The Athletic?

Where? Twitter is not real journalism. Who/what is the source? A reporter? I studied journalism. Have you? Watching Fox News does not qualify…

I’m betting if Schefter sent out that tweet then the reaction to some here would be completely different. -

His body language seems disinterested and like he doesn’t care. -
Did Bobby and Gerry start this rumor? Threads are bubbling with activity. Intrigue is so good for business when things have grown stagnant. I would rather know how our high school recruits are doing than to speculate coaching replacement possibilities based on a click bait rumor with no substantial source. I jest in part but this social media gossip mill is really just an opportunity for self serving vultures looking to break a story that isn’t a story without a credible source owning the comment(s). Basic high school 101 jounalism. Who, what, when, where, why and how… right? Twitter is for twits.

Why would any coach that is currently still in the playoff picture take another job? -

Thrives on anonymous sources every day… national reporter does it, suddenly it’s ‘garbage’? Are you discrediting Bobby and Gerry now? -
I don’t know what’s going on. But from a “just a fan” perspective something looks off. Sark has had a lot more “coach speak” and has been more touchy with the media. He also just doesn’t really look like he’s “all in.”

It’s frustrating, but the agents leak it this way so there is total deniability. It’s a dirty game, but there is truth in “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” -

Disagree. #1 is the most likely. I don't know if someone would listen to Sark's wife or Texas BMDs and use it as a legitimate source, especially senior NFL reporters. -
Exactly! This “reporting” with no identified source is not journalism… it’s Fox News/National Esquire worthy garbage. People eat it up though.
