  1. Past hour
  2. I'd be lying if I said I'm not worried about the offensive line. I have some pause there, but nothing outrageous. If there's one thing I'm confident this line will be able to do is get a push. This offensive line was already known to be better run blockers than pass protectors. With the was Sark operates his offense, he has something he hasn't had in a back since Roschon. That's someone who can run inside, now he has that in Baxter, Gibson, and Clark. This difference this year is he has the arm to make you pay when the safety gets caught looking in the backfield.
  3. That's my point is all, this is not everyone out there. A lot of people are saying that Texas is overrated and are picking Ohio State. As I said, it's hard to believe this is going to be used to pump up the Ohio State players, lol. That would be a weak ass argument to make to your team. But what do I know. Best of luck to your guys and I hope they all stay healthy and that we win (you gotta give me that one lol). Either way, I think it'll be a great game.
  4. Good Point. Frankly I think both Coaches would have preferred this to be a week 2-3 match up, but it is what it is.
  5. Yes a still image of 3 guys converging on the guy being thrown the ball. Great shot. Just like the one Smith replied to saying they had 3 guys covering him but watching the actual clip showed differently. Don't get me wrong, he's a freak of an athlete but this narrative that goes on around that game is hilarious. He'll be a handful again, no doubt.
  6. I may be looking through my scarlet colored glass when thinking this way, but I’m glad we have Texas week one instead of week 3 or 4. I think the unit that takes the longest to gel is the OL, so I’m glad Ohio State gets to play them with a banger out Goosby and no chance to gel.
  7. I'm actually out this morning, but @Jeff Howe is filling in for me. Thanks Jeff!
  8. Rise and shine, it's Coffee and Football time! Today we're joined by former Ohio State linebacker Bobby Carpenter to discuss Texas versus Ohio State in the season opener. We'll also talk the latest Horns news and notes, plus take your questions. Show starts around 8:15 AM!
  9. We Texas fans are worried about this game. We are confident because this game is played 8/30 and not in October. We know as the season goes and Sayin gets valuable reps he's going to get better as the season goes. Same can be said about Arch. But speaking solely of this game it's cause for caution.
  10. You’re not wrong. Ohio State fans need to prepare ourselves that Sayin isn’t going to be close to a finished product against Texas.
  11. Maybe you will be right, maybe not. I trust the process and Day's QB development. There has not been any drop off from QB play. He has coached six consecutive Big Ten Quarterback of the Year honorees. JT Barrett, Haskins, Fields, Stroud, McCord, Howard. Will Sayin be next? Some Freshman can ball out right away, some can't.
  12. Quinn. His recruitment jump started the Sark regime much like Ricky coming back for his senior year did for Mack. Getting to boo that jackwagon Yormark was fun too! When he was healthy early in seasons, he did damage versus Bama X 2 and Michigan. It's easy to remember the flaws, but he was pretty damn good.
  13. You keep forgetting you had an experienced 5th year qb vs a first time starter. One thing about first year starters is they tend to lock onto recievers. It's different this year.
  14. Quinn brought us back. Great Horn.
  15. Great Game by the Long Horns, If I recall we have beaten you both times we have played in Texas. Once in Austin once in Arlington.
  16. Yeah, Michigan’s a championship program. No shame in not dominating them. Texas sold out to stop Jeremiah Smith, and did but lost the game. In the end the only thing that matters is getting a W.
  17. That’s 100% of the national media predictions that I have seen. Also, it doesn’t matter what’s reality, the only thing that matters is what the players believe.
  18. No argument on your point there. Plenty of other options (Innis, Tate, Klare, RB screen) if Texas sells out to bracket Smith again. I do expect him to get at least 6-8 touches though. Reports from fall camp say he is bigger/stronger/faster this year. If Smith is a decoy and runs two DB's off every play that opens up a lot underneath to move chains.
  19. We are down to just three days before the Longhorns square off against the Buckeyes in Columbus for the season opener. Who Is your favorite No. 3 to play for Texas? Some options today include… Jordan Hicks Quinn Ewers Nate Vasher Mossy Cade
  20. What was Smith's production like against clearly the best two defenses he faced in Michigan and Texas combined? Keep in mind Will Johnson didn't play and they had a parch work secondary.
  21. He’s a Michigan booster who actively pays for recruits. You have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to this rivalry.
  22. Today
  23. Don't be surprised if you see a healthy dose of Freshman Bo Jackson Saturday. I agree on Donaldson. Re: Peoples not enough reps to have an opinion yet. My biggest concern for the OSU RB's vs. Texas is how they do in pass pro.
