  16. Pete Nakos Speaking with sources, Texas is in the mix for multiple big-time college baseball free agents. The Longhorns are in the mix for Virginia transfers Eric Becker (infielder) and Henry Ford(infielder/outfielder). Becker officially entered the portal on Tuesday with a do-not-contact tag, and batted .368 with 74 hits in 201 at-bats in 2025. He hit nine home runs and drove in 52 RBIs, as well. Seton Hall transfer outfielder Aiden Robbins started 46 games this spring, finishing with a .438 batting average to go with 33 RBIs and a .550 on-base percentage. He has emerged as a top portal target for Texas, sources have said. Maryland starting shortstop Chris Hacopian totaled 29 home runs and 103 RBIs in his two seasons at Maryland. He was an All-Big Ten second-team honoree both years. The sophomore is lining up a visit to Austin, per a source. The rising junior has been projected as high as a potential top-10 pick in the 2026 MLB draft.
