  1. Past hour
  2. 100%. Still a lot to prove but go watch the highlights. Accuracy is accuracy.
  3. My point exactly 💯. People need to understand Ohio State would beat both Florida and OU BY DOUBLE DIGITS PLUS. None of those teams would stand a chance against them period.
  4. Mateer played Illinois St. yesterday. Let’s see if he can throw for 392 yards against Michigan and Auburn
  5. No pressures? How many plays did he blow up and let others get the tackle? I’ll let the coaches who actually watch film grade him.
  6. What makes you think OU offense could beat us in a shootout. Their oline is not very good.
  7. Quinn made the easy throws, now Arch needs to do that too.
  8. I see your point but as long as the defense plays like they did yesterday minus the badly timed penalties I don’t see Texas having to get into a shootout. They need to be able to score 24-28 points a game and they should win.
  9. @CJ Vogel I think what some people have overlooked was impart this is OSU being able to gameplan for Sark's offense really well, having had data and played against it before-but Texas having to guess a bit at what the defense would do. I do give Arch a pass on this game but this week I would work on fundamentals, fundamentals, and more fundamentals! Back to basics is the word and key this week and a couple weeks to hone those practices before Florida! Just my 2 cents.
  10. Simmons had two total tackles, one solo, no tackles for loss and no sacks. For the best edge in the country “according to Rod”, you expect him to have a bigger impact than that. That stat line in a top 5 matchup is MIA. That said, he’s still a great player and only going to get better.
  11. I’m going to keep saying this until proven otherwise. I believe the staff took the wrong approach this offseason believing in a bunch of unproven guys. Even Wingo is not proven. Obviously you can’t account for Mosley being hurt, but I’m not sure how explosive he is. It’s a little weird to me how the staff is more so prioritizing size over speed at the position lately. There was Zachariah Branch, Barrion Brown, KC Conception, etc in the portal and all are fairly explosive. We’ll see how it plays out, but I don’t love the weapons on offense.
  12. I agree with this sentiment. Texas will be ready for Florida.
  13. I’d put the Florida and OU games together in this discussion. Mateer was slinging it yesterday and Sark is going to have to show that his offense can win in a shootout one of these days.
  14. We held OHSt to two touchdowns despite them owning the clock. I’d say very few of our defenders were MIA.
  15. 100%. Unless Lagway is injured coming out of the Miami and LSU games, it will definitely be at night, ABC will want that game
  16. The Buckeyes defense requires us to lean on a running back that can punish them and take over a game. (We don’t have one) or go bully ball with our QB like Auburn did in Waco Friday night. The third choice, ironically, is to pick them apart with short passes like Quinn would have done last year. Arch’s lack of touch on short passes was frankly shocking yesterday for a kid who has been groomed in QB camps his whole life.

  18. The question is can teams make us pay 🤔 . Arch will get better as will the offense.
  19. Is it common for college coaches to seek outside help with executing in the RZ? Is this an ego thing for Sark? I don’t get it.
  20. It’ll be a night and day difference all right. Bc that game will indeed be played at night.
  21. UF’s offense will be a bigger test for this defense than even Ohio State. They will be battle tested from two back to back big road games against Miami and LSU. Could be too beat up to beat Texas but probably not. Sark has to prove he can beat OU back to back, they’re PO’ed and want revenge, and when they have a competent QB before I pencil that in as a win. Should beat A&M regardless as that game has the biggest effect on recruiting for Texas. I’ll throw Arkansas in there as they are a rival, but Texas should be okay in that matchup.
  22. Thanks for summarizing all of these plays. They give a better perspective. I am sure these will all be reviewed in the film room and hopefully we will see improvements during the season. Remember in Arch’s two starts last year, his first one he looked a little rough and the second game he looked more polished. I know this wasn’t his first start, but it was his first start against a team of equal talent on the road in a hostile environment. I think what we see in Gainesville will be night and day difference.
  23. After watching Alabama yesterday I don’t see them getting to Atlanta. I think Georgia and LSU could be the best teams in the SEC. And they don’t play each other this year. Texas has to beat Florida and OU and then I could see the Georgia game being a winner gets to Atlanta type implications.
  24. OU defense is still legit. I’m not as worried about opposing teams offense as I am their defense.
  25. It really is baffling and it may be inexperience for Arch but how do we explain Quinn. They screw up two 5⭐️ top rated QBs and alarms will be ringing.
  26. @Gerry Hamilton Do we have any idea what the game day set up is with Sark/Milwee/assistants? Milwee is in the booth, correct? Do we know who is communicating with Arch/QBs on the sidelines?
