  1. Past hour
  2. I’m not saying they won’t take a closer look at him, but I just don’t think it happens. Plus, they’re looking at more than just talent. They want the correct fit/attitude/etc. I won’t name names, but I know there’s one prospect who is very talented and would probably love to play at Texas, but his attitude on and off the field instantly made him a huge no.
  3. Interesting I thought the staff would be interested based off his arm angle alone lol
  4. He was drafted in seventh round and then screwed up his knee badly.
  5. Would be really nice to see Spencer Shannon step up this season.
  6. Why didn't Mike Adams play in the NFL? Size? Speed? I don't think he got drafted.
  7. Well done sir!
  8. Texas is in it for Brown for sure. That’s a different level battle. Announcing a decision in July
  9. Crashed into who, Street? That didn’t happen either. Peschal? Who could that have happened?
  10. Today
  11. If my memory serves me correctly, Thompson was elite at downing Dickson’s punts deep in enemy territory. Not something you usually think of as an elite skill, but the difference between starting inside the 5 or at the 20 is immense. Hopefully he can catch on long term with the Falcons.
  12. I hope the football official visitors saw this. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  13. This actually happened earlier this week, but just now saw it. FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed defensive back Josh Thompson, the team announced Monday. Thompson briefly spent time in Atlanta last season, signing on during training camp. He landed on injured reserve within a month, though, due to an undisclosed injury and was released before the season began. The 26-year-old is a former undrafted free agent who joined the NFL in 2022. As a rookie, he appeared in six games with the Tennessee Titans, solely on special teams. He took 83 snaps. Thomspon has yet to appear in a game since. He was with the Houston Texans before the Falcons brought him to Atlanta the first time around. To make room for Thomspon on the 90-man roster, the Falcons released safety Benny Sapp III. https://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/josh-thompson-signed-benny-sapp-released-transaction-2025
  14. #83 former walk on who Herman gave a scholarship WR Kai Money Money had the first touchdown by a Longhorn who joined the team as a walk-on since fullback Ahmard Hall caught a touchdown pass against Texas A&M in 2005
  15. We might get back to more off the books payments that don't get reported to schools or to the new commission. If it comes to light later- "Oops, I forgot to report it". Of course, if they also forget to tell the IRS that opens a new can of worms.
  16. Did Crowell enjoy his visit?
  17. Actually< I always heard one of our OL crashed into him on that play - his long time roommate in fact. That doesn't preclude bracket coverage though...
  18. You do know Street threw into bracket coverage on that play.
  19. Mike Adams was really underrated, imo.
  20. I was thinking about that earlier. Several would have fired him. 🤣
  21. Deryl Comer was such a stud that DKR would play him at DE in goal line and short yardage situations Sadly, he tore a knee up in the Cotton Bowl vs Tenn and was never the same player. (The bright side was Ark didn't think enough of his replacement to cover him). 😃
  22. Let’s see… Texas has Lambos… Aggie has farm animals sounds about right
  23. LSWho? Thank you Brian Kelly. Keep these LA kids coming.
  24. Regarding Adams (per Grok): The best Texas Longhorn to wear No. 83 is Mike Adams, a wide receiver from 1992–1996. Adams is third all-time in Texas history with 3,032 receiving yards, trailing only Roy Williams and Jordan Shipley. In 1992, as a freshman, he earned USA TODAY Sports’ Freshman All-American honors, amassing 964 all-purpose yards on 63 touches, including three touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing, one punt return). His career total of 5,822 all-purpose yards ranks third in school history, behind only Ricky Williams and Cedric Benson. Adams was a standout for his era, setting a high standard for Longhorn receivers.
  25. Deryl Comer’s hands were like football magnets. Soft lobs and Heat-seeking passes searched for his hands. Deryl could convert a complicated route, bad pass, and challenging catch into a Picasso art form. https://texaslsn.org/2022-deryl-comer/ From Grok: Deryl Comer (1966–1968): A tight end, Comer earned All-Southwest Conference honors in 1968. While not a statistical leader like Adams, his recognition as an all-conference player marks him as a notable figure for his era. Specific stats for Comer are less documented, but his role helped solidify the tight end position during a successful period for Texas, including the 1968 season when the Longhorns went 9–1–1.
