He’s put a lot of guys in the NFL. Don’t think a poor O line coach/recruiter/developer could coach under Saban. Heck, I really have no idea what might happen. -

You really think Sark will get rid of Flood? -
Heather Dinich has Texas as No. 10 in CFP Ranking this week

I get that but Vandy was ranked #9 last week by virtue of beating #11 South Carolina, #10 LSU and #15 Mizzou. Then we beat them and went from #20 to #11. OU jumped into the top 5 after beating #15 Michigan and #22 Auburn. Do you not see how others could make the same argument about many teams in the SEC? -

They say these big out of conference games don’t hurt you but the reality is if we played Lafayette instead of Ohio State on the road we would be sitting pretty.

I disagree - I think projections are forecasting 9-3, just my opinion.

You’re really trying to make a false equivalency. The upper half of the Big12 has played literally zero teams that are currently ranked in the CFP Top 25. Mississippi State has one SEC win and beat the team that beat Tech (ASU). Fairly confident the SEC is undefeated by the Big12 this season. By the end of the season, teams from the SEC will have played Ohio State, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech. That’s likely the two P4 winners plus the top non P4 team. The record will likely be 2-1, with a 7 pt loss to the #1 team. The SEC’s quality is demonstrably not self referential like you are suggesting

Margin For Error…

Which is why unfortunately i see 9-3 and no playoffs this year. -
I thought Hayden Conner, Jake Majors, Christian Jones among others all improved significantly under Flood. They lost four pros on the o line from last year who had a lot of continuity together. No doubt this year has been rough but I don't think it's been a development issue until this year. I think Goosby has developed well but the Brooks experiment at Guard was a mistake.
