Moderators CJ Vogel Posted July 17 Moderators Share Posted July 17 2025 IMG Academy LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng tells me he has been in contact with Texas recently. Texas just added its second linebacker to the 2025 class with the addition of Jonathan Cunningham out of North Crowley. Owusu-Boateng was reported to be visiting Texas during the weekend of April 13, however he did not make it to campus. Still, however, there remains interest on his side and a visit at the end of the month or near the beginning of the season could be in store. Nothing has been locked in yet, but certainly a situation to monitor at the moment.

Hunter Bradford
A couple thoughts on this: Texas never goes after players that either can't become great with development or aren't currently great. Two, Texas should have more shots on goal at LB considering they lost Pettijohn to Ohio State. Third, I don't know if this is a back-up plan in case Faraimo commits to ND, but I think it's a good idea to get more shots on goal. I'm just hoping Texas lands Faraimo because that dude screams an absolute stud at LB. He plays mean, he's instinctive, he flows to the ball and loves contact. All of this at 6'3 230 (roughly).

He can definitely go. I agree with more shots on goal, a theme we have seen around several positions on defense. At the moment I see it as due diligence for guys who had previous interest.
