2024 Team Talent Composite Top 20 by 247Sports   

1. Bama plays six of the top 20 - #2, @8, @9, @17, 18 and 19. 

2. UGA plays seven of the top 20 - @#1, @4, 5, 12, 17, 18 and @20.

3. OHST plays ONLY THREE of the top 20 - @6, @11 and 16.

4. TEXAS plays five of the top 20 - #2, @7, 8, 12 and @16.

5. Clemson plays ONLY TWO of the top 20 - @#2 and @13.

6. Oregon plays ONLY TWO of the top 20 - #3 and @16.

7. A&M plays six of the top 20 - #4, 9, 10, @12, @18 and 19.

8. OU plays seven of the top 20 - #1, 4, @9, 17, @18, @19 and @20.

9. LSU plays six of the top 20 - #1, @7, 8, @12, 15 and 20.

10. ND plays ONLY THREE of the top 20 - @#7, 13 and @15.

11. Penn St plays ONLY TWO of the top 20 - #3 and @15.

12. Florida plays EIGHT of the top 20 - #2, @4, 7, 9, @13, 14, @17 and 20.

13. FSU plays four of the top 20 - #5, @10, 12 and @14.

14. Miami plays ONLY TWO of the top 20 - @#12 and 13.

15. USC plays four of the top 20 - #9, 10, 11 and @16.

16. Michigan plays four of the top 20 - @3, 4, @6 and 15.

17. TN plays four of the top 20 - #1, @2, @8 and 12.

18. Auby plays five of the top 20 - @#1, @2, 7, 8 and @19.

19. MO plays four of the top 20 - @#1, @7, 8 and 18. 

20. Ole Miss plays four of the top 20 - #2, 8, @9 and @12. 

 

The expanded SEC has 11 teams in the Top 20 Talent Composite and 6 in the top 9! SEC schedules are especially brutal this year; it will be interesting to see how much weight is given to SEC SOS when selecting for the 12 team CFP. MO and Ole Miss seem to have easier schedules than the other 9 SEC teams on the list. Yet they seem to have tougher schedules than most other teams not in the SEC.

ACC has 3 teams on the list but only 1 in the top 12, Clemson. Miami has the easiest schedule of the 3, it avoids #5 Clemson and gets #13 FSU at home.

The expanded B1G has 5 teams in the Top 20. Penn St, Oregon and OHST have more favorable schedules than most on the list.

No surprise, Big 12 Lite is not represented in the Team Talent Top 20 Composite by 247Sports. Their conference champ may not deserve to be an automatic qualifier for the CFP.
