Moderators Blake Munroe Posted August 25 Moderators Share Posted August 25 As we get closer to the opener against Colorado State, I’m going to post a memorable play of the day that somehow represents that day’s number. We're now six days away from kickoff and today's play is a doozy. Rewind back to January of 2009 when the Horns met Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. After a back and forth close game, Texas was trailing 21-17 with 1:49 remaining and the ball on the 22 yard line. Colt McCoy lead the Horns on a methodical drive down the field, before finding Quan Cosby for the go ahead touchdown with mere seconds left on the clock. Final score: Texas 24 Ohio State 21 11
Lock n Horns
Great Quan play that I had forgotten about, Blake. Another favorite Quan play of mine is his block on Lendy Holmes as Jordan trying to score in Red River Ruvalry ….. seriously lit him up! I almost went with this, but since we used that same game for No. 8, I wanted to do something different.
Moderators Blake Munroe Posted August 25 Author Moderators Share Posted August 25 Was sorting out which plays to pick for the last few days. No. 2 might be my favorite, but man 1-5 are tough to choose just one!
bourbasted
1 seems like a foregone conclusion, no?

While I get what you're saying, I can't use that one, as that has nothing to do with No. 1. That was actually the play for Day 10, as VY wore 10. Each day's play has something to do with the number of days away.
bourbasted
Ah, of course! Ok, in that case will have a think about 1. my initial thought is Mike Davis vs TTU in 2012 holstering the guns after he burns them for a long TD. Rumor has it that’s when Horn’s Down became a thing.
