This is sad on so many levels. Most of these guys would have most likely been the one to build generational wealth for their families and the squandered that opportunity. I was never going to be a professional or collegiate athlete so I went into the military. I remember the pride people in my community would look at me with. The only thing I thought was I can't let these people down. If the younger generation could see that I made it facing the same obstacles they are then that gives them hope.
