bierce Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Can't argue with a 28 point win over a P5 team, but there is a complete rebuild in Fort Worth this year, and Big 12 coaches predict a 10th place finish for TCU, so this mashing might not be as impressive as if we had done it against Dixon's last three teams. 1 Quote

They pounded Arkansas a couple of years ago and that team turned out OK. I just want to be happy that they got off to a good start. 2 Quote

Correct. Was told that TCU isn't as talented as their last 3-4 teams, but Texas did play well for having so many new faces trying to build into roles and rotation. And there is this ... Colorado will be extremely well coached, but not as talented as last year either. Texas and the Buffaloes scrimmage the 26th in Austin. Will likely be a 15-20 point type win. 1 Quote

It won 22 games and made the Sweet Sixteen, beating Kansas in the 32 round. This year's TCU team is highly unlikely to match that. But I'm happy with a 28 point win. For all we know, half the scrimmage was just screwing around with lineups. Edited October 20, 2024 by bierce Quote
