High 2026 5-star linebacker had a tremendous visit to Texas the last two days. Atkinson spent a considerable amount of 1-on-1 time with Johnny Nansen despite Texas having a huge game. Atkinson, 6-3 and 210, also spent time talking with Longhorn legend Derrick Johnson. They talked about being a moveable chess piece at the LB position, and how he could do that at Texas. Atkinson and family told OTF that they were impressed with the Texas defense. The fight Texas showed impressed. The city of Austin also has a real appeal for the Atlanta area 5-star in 2026. OTF expects Atkinson to come back for a visit in January or the spring, and a June OV.
