2 ACC teams isn’t happening.

Georgia Tech will beat Miami in the regular season

But if Miami wins out the regular season but loses in the ACC championship game, then the ACC probably gets the champion and Miami.

The only way Texas gets into the SEC championship game is if Texas wins out and we either are in sole possession of first place or we end up tied with Georgia (or one other team) at the top of the SEC. I believe under every 3+ tie scenario Texas loses the tiebreaker. As an example, if Texas, Georgia and LSU win out and there’s a three-way tie at first, then LSU plays Georgia in the championship game. Conference opponent win percentage kills us every time.

But it’s actually more complicated. If one of the teams we are tied with is LSU, I think we always lose. But there are some scenarios where either the common opponents played or conference win percentage puts us ahead of Tennessee and Alabama. And others where both along schools (along with A&M) rank ahead of Texas in the tiebreakers.

Just get in the CFP, the SEC championship is secondary
