On going for it on 4th and 1 on their own 29:

Sarkisian says he believes in his players and they felt good about the short yardage packages available for the offense.

Says he knew what he wanted to do before the analytical guy chimed in.

Sark says the staff spoke with the team last night in regards to finding ways to play all three phases of the game in complementary fashion.

Says the buildup from the bye week certainly helped.

Sarkisian: "I thought Quinn played fantastic today, and I thought he played great two weeks ago against Vanderbilt... The ball was going to the right guys on time and they were catchable balls."

Sarkisian says he didn't think about leaving Ewers in for a school record 6 TD in the 2H.

Says that's normally when the football gods find you and punish you and thats a side he doesn't want to test.

Sarkisian says he laughs at the term "game manager" for a quarterback because it is often used in a negative way. Says Mac Jones used to get that title a lot and all he did was finish 2nd for the Heisman and throw for a ton of yards.

On the fake jet sweep, fake handoff, reverse to Isaiah Bond, Sarkisian says that play probably was called because the staff had too much time in the bye week to scheme up.

Says they ran it in practice and it turned out looking really good, then it was successfully executed today as well.

Sarkisian says the toughest decision of the day was the 3rd and 4 where UF committed a holding, whether to attempt or decline.

Sarkisian accepted the penalty, then the sack by Guilbeau and the punt into the end zone.

Sarkisian says the entire defense has made plays and it's showing up on Saturdays.

Playing with confidence and consistency.

"Consistently playing with violence."

“Consistently playing with violence.” -This is the mentality the entire team needs to have

Can someone smarter than me chime in on this?

why do people try sweeps or Far outside runs to the short side of the field with 2 or 3 players out there already? Just seems too congested

i feel like you should always use the far side to just open up the field more and force defenders into more space
