Texas Women’s Driver Win Gold

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Hailey Hernandez of the No. 2 women's swim and dive program won the 1-meter gold medal at the USA Winter National Championships.

Hernandez claimed the gold medal after totaling 506.75 points in the final of the 1-meter competition. On her final forward dive of a 1.5 somersault two twist free, Hernandez totaled 57.20 points.

The Texas All-American finished in front of Sophie Verzyl and Lanie Gutch to win the gold. She climbed two positions from the prelims after scoring 252.90 points before claiming the title.

On the men's side, Luke Forester reached his first-ever USA 1-meter final and finished seventh overall.
