I’m flying in to Dallas from Vancouver on Friday so I don’t think my travel will be too impacted, but what is everybody else thinking? A little too early to tell but will you be traveling Friday morning and historically what do you think the travel from Austin will look like?

I live in DFW, timing is going to be very important, also it looks like we are getting snow right now, but if things shift it could easily become freezing rain. All I can say is that Texans don’t handle snow or ice well, if either happen, which is looking very likely at this point, all forms of travel will be impacted and be a complete mess.

Right now it seems forecasters are leaning towards snow in the 3-6” range, with some calling for up to 12” … 12” would be catastrophic given our infrastructure. It looks like it will all start Thursday and go into Friday. The real question is will it stop soon enough and get warm enough Friday to melt things to make travel a little easier.

for those driving up from Austin it will be a mess because the freezing rain is due to hit south of Dallas so the drive up will be brutal.

They might delay to Saturday but then that bumps up against NFL playoffs

Good thing they don't have to worry about a conflict at AT&T stadium 😉

Looks like they confirmed the game will stay Friday as the weather is trending against a lot of snow. My personal fear is that means rain and potential freezing, but most seem to feel it’s trending positively.
