bierce Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Shedrick: 131 minutes, 53 points on 18/26 fg (2/3 3pt), 15/23 ft, 37 rebounds, 5/7 1/t, 6 blocks, 5 steals. That translates to 16.2 points, 11.3 rebounds per 40 minutes, with an effective fg% of 73.1%. Kent: 66 minutes, 17 points on 8/19 fg (0/2 3pt), 1/2 ft, 8 rebounds, 2/4 a/t, 1 block, 3 steals Onyema: 63 minutes, 11 points on 5/13 fg (0/0 3pt), 15 rebounds, 3/5 a/5, 3 blocks, 1 steal. Shedrick has put in some really good minutes recently. The others? Not so much. Onyema gets some rebounds, but that's about it. So once again I am left wondering why we never, ever see Vinson enter a game. Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted February 6 Moderators Posted February 6 I concur! Shedrick takes heat from the fan base, but he's having a quality season. Quote

When he has already played a smattering of minutes early in the year? Odd. 1 Quote

Vinson was exciting to watch go at players in the games and dunk it too! I tune in and show up more when local kids play. It gave me Brock hometown vibes again. Vinson reminded me of a more versatile Jarrett Allen with a perimeter shot. It sounds like the kid may need opportunity and benefactors to advocate for him. Like Allen, Vinson is a tall athletic shot blocker who looks like he’s got a chance. Quote

He came here as a long term project. He showed us some ability in November and December. But that was against the likes of Mississippi Valley State, Chicago State, Houston Christian, and Arky PB, so I have a fairly high degree of skepticism that he can do much against P5 competition at present, despite eye-popping shooting% in his 40 minutes on the floor so far. I just wonder why he doesn't get a minute or two in blowouts. I mean, why not? He has to play against that caliber of player in practice, so I can't see his confidence being ruined if he struggles during meaningless time in a game. 1 Quote
