I'm not a big NFL guy so I may be off here, but I don't think there is a positional salary cap in the NFL, right? There's a salary cap in which positions that are seen as essential take up majority of the cap space. Quarterbacks usually take up most of the cap with running backs taking up the least. You can make whatever a team is willing to pay you as long as your 53 man roster fits under the salary cap. 1 Quote

If all teams don’t follow the same rules there is no cap. Quote
