50% of starting SEC QBs this season are transfers

I was doing some research during Coffee and Football this morning and came to the realization that exactly 50% of starting SEC QBs in 2025 are transfers.

John Mateer (Washington State - OU)

Zach Calzada (A&M/Auburn/Incarnate Word - Kentucky)

Jackson Arnold (OU - Auburn)

Joey Aguilar (UCLA - Tennessee)

Beau Pribula (Penn State -Missouri)

Blake Shapen (Baylor - Mississippi State)

Diego Pavia (New Mexico State - Vanderbilt)

Taylen Green (Boise State - Arkansas)

 

It's also worth mentioning that there are zero third year starters at the position in the SEC this season.
