  • Visit update on ATH Michael Terry III (Tuesday 4:45 p.m. CST)

    Gerry Hamilton

OnTexasFootball exchanged messages with San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights ATH Michael Terry III this afternoon.

Terry, 6-2.5 and 218 pounds with 10.8 100 meters speed, says he's locked in for the Texas Spring Game April 20. At that time, he will have a conversation with Steve Sarkisian and staff members in regard to a June official visit date.

Terry's first official visit will be to Nebraska the last weekend in April. Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Texas and Oregon are possibilities for official visits.

A note on a Indiana DT transfer Philip Blidi

OnTexasFootball exchanged messages with Indiana transfer DL Philip Blidi earlier today. The 6-3, 295 pound defensive tackle that began his career at Texas Tech prior to transferring to Indiana will be in Austin this weekend visiting family. As of earlier today, he didn't have anything set up to visit Texas or see the staff.

LSU, TCU, Texas A&M and Auburn are among the offers since hitting the portal as a graduate transfer nine days ago.

Apparently I rate Michael Terry above what the posters on this site think of him.  I see him as a slightly shorter TO.  He's big, fast, tough to bring down...just what you want as a WR...and he could play defense as well.

And he's probably going to grow a bit before he hits campus.

    MY top 3 WR prospects:

    1)  DK Moore...98

    2)  Ffrench...97

    3)  M Terry III...96

He's one of my favorites. I'd love to see him at S or OLB depending on where his body goes.

I'm on the otherside, There seems to be plenty of WRs out there that we can get that fit what Sark wants better and since he seems intent on playing WR in college instead of moving to another position he doesn't seem like a guy we should spend a lot of resources on. Of course Sark seems to want him so what do I know

Someone very close to Terry also believes OLB is his best upside position.

    I'm an interested observer

Maybe the staff has their sights on other DTs? I can’t imagine them not at least meeting with him unless they had a strong inclination of other better DTs.

Same. A 3 tech will have to be a 2-3rd type nfl draft pick level trasnfer IMO

If they're not interested, why meet with him? I think we already have a bunch of dudes on the roster similar or better.
