  1. Seems like once Biles became a possibility, Texas cooled on Uluave. I would imagine taking 3 portal LBs with only one year of eligibility left isn’t ideal when you lost a prospect in Barnes who was a big part of the future of the position past ‘26. I bet portal LB3 has multiple years left
  2. Also, the Top two OTs on Mel Kiper’s big board are RTs. Penei Sewell, Lane Johnson, etc are highly paid RTs. Agents know that playing both will only boost your stock
  3. Was it ever confirmed that he made it to Columbus? The timing seemed like we didn’t let him make that visit. If so, ok that’s one. One for…. Not a defeatist. Pointing out a trend in this cycle that hasn’t worked in our favor. I hope Uluave signs because we have one scholarship LB’er and he’s one of the few left out there that is a true upgrade over Lefau and Barnes.
  4. Worried about Uluave. Players that visit and leave aren’t trending well for Texas this cycle. Coleman is an exception…maybe
  5. Best of the bunch. I think it’s indicative of what is going to happen with Barnes. Barnes money + Portal LB 2 = Biles money?
  6. And in that way should have been expected
  7. I’m not that guy…yet BUT Ongoing rumors all year, 2027 recruiting is failure to launch, existing roster leaving, consistent “no’s” in the portal. No one can say the program is being built for the future right now.
  8. Our offers to the two Michigan OL were reportedly higher than Michigan. I would imagine the same is true for Jayden Woods. The staff identified a “system” they wanted to attack. Very talented players from teams in coaching transitions. It didn’t work.
  9. Sark reportedly went to visit Sprague and couldn’t close. Things are not good. Muschamp went to visit Jayden Woods and couldn’t close. These two guys aren’t getting on planes for players that aren’t central to their portal plan. Losses are mounting and time is running out.
  10. To add insult to injury, OU managed to lock up a priority retention player for a Michigan with relative ease.
  11. I remember when I thought Richard Wesley was found money at the beginning of what would be a fury of comittments 🫠
  12. Cook, Moore, Niblett have all scored TDs this season so that’s probably helping keeping them engaged. Big difference in playing time.
  13. When the coaching staff brings in 3 portal players at your position, the writing is on the wall. When true freshmen Alex January has passed you on the depth chart, the writing is on the wall. usually when players start to read that writing they get mad and blame anyone but themselves and lash out. tale as old as time.
  14. Man that post visit Faraimo interview was super impressive. The mental eval for him has to be off the charts for a staff that prioritizes mental evals.
