Heard the recap show from Ikard & Lehman and they kept it real. What I respect most is when people keep it 100%, and they did exactly that. They see the Texas program from the outside and they’re right — this is probably the worst team this program will field for a while. A young O-line that will only improve, Arch gaining experience and confidence, and skill players still developing — the foundation is there. This season might not be one for the record books with a national title run, but it’s a valuable building block year. We’ll learn more about this program over the rest of the season than we have the past two — really since Sark’s first couple years. I don’t post much here, but I read most of y’all’s thoughts and tune into the livestreams, so I just wanted to get this off my chest. We all know Texas came into the season with heavy hype and then got punched in the mouth by Ohio State. Since then the offense has looked rough, with Arch struggling to find a rhythm while the defense keeps doing its part. Maybe that’s exactly what this team needs. Instead of coasting on preseason praise, they’re being forced to fight for every yard and figure out who they are. Missing some veterans hurts, but it also forces the rest of the roster to grow up fast. Sometimes it’s better to be doubted and have to earn everything. Nothing builds an edge like digging yourself out of a hole, and this group might be more dangerous because of it. The fun part is watching a talented but struggling team find itself and start playing its best ball as the season goes on. Here’s to a great rest of the season and an enjoyable ride with a team ready to overcome and become great. Hook ’Em.
