OTF Premium Texas Offers 2027 Tennessee RB (Monday PM)
CJ Vogel posted a topic in On Texas Football Forum
Tashard Choice and the Texas Longhorns have extended an offer to 2027 Baylor School (TN) RB David Gabriel Georges. The Longhorns becomes the 20th team to extend an offer to the 6-foot, 190-pound running back out of Tennessee. David Gabriel Georges is originally from Canada, but has become quite the prospect in the 2027 class. Already with multiple game visits to Tennessee this season and another to Ole Miss.- 1 reply

College Football Playoff: Six SEC teams for four spots The first ever 12 team college football playoff is about to get very interesting in the SEC with Ole Miss beating Georgia Saturday. It's going to take 10-2 from the SEC and Big 10 to get in with the month of November leading to survive and advance, and then it may still not be enough in the SEC. OTF loves your chances! These two teams in the Big 10 conference are in barring a collapse. Oregon (11-0) - vs. Washington. The Ducks are the first team that is in, regardless of their final game. Indiana (10-0) - at Ohio State and vs. Purdue. Even with a loss, Indiana should beat Purdue to finish 11-1 and be in the CFP. Notre Dame favored to run the table Notre Dame (9-1) - vs. Army and at USC. A 10-2 Notre Dame not likely to get in due to Northern Illinois loss. They must win out. Margin of error down to one more loss for two Big 10 teams Ohio State (9-1) - vs. Indiana and vs. Michigan Penn State (9-1) - at Minnesota and vs. Maryland Six SEC teams still have a shot for four spots Texas (9-1) - vs. Kentucky and at Texas A&M Georgia (8-2) - vs. UMass and vs. Georgia Tech Ole Miss (8-2) - at Florida and vs. Mississippi State Alabama (8-2) - at Oklahoma and vs. Auburn Tennessee (8-2) - vs. UTEP and at Vanderbilt Texas A&M (8-2) - at Auburn and vs. Texas Three ACC teams for one spot SMU (9-1, 6-0) - at Virginia and vs. California Clemson (8-2, 7-1) - vs. The Citadel and vs. South Carolina Miami (9-1, 5-1) - vs. Wake Forest and at Syracuse A SMU 11-1 that loses in the ACC Championship game would not likely get in over 10-2 SEC or Big 10 teams. Big 12 has five remaining for one spot The Big 12 Championship Game winner is the only team that will get in the college football playoff. BYU (9-1, 6-1) took their first loss of the season vs. Kansas. The Cougars now head to Tempe to take on a hot Arizona State team. Colorado (8-2, 6-1) - at Kansas and vs. Oklahoma State Iowa State (8-2, 5-2) - at Utah and vs. Kansas State Arizona State (8-2, 5-2) - vs. BYU and at Arizona. Arizona State is two wins away from likely playing the Big 12 Championship Game. Group of 5 favorite Boise State remains the favorite after a a 42-21 win at San Jose State. BSU (9-1) - Wyoming and vs. Oregon State The predicted 12 spots by conference Big 10 - 4 SEC - 4 ACC - 1 Big 12 - 1 Group of 5 - 1 Notre Dame

A quick rundown of the snap counts for the offense and defense against Arkansas. *** Offense Out of 73 total snaps against the Razorbacks. 73 – Quinn Ewers, Kelvin Banks, Jake Majors, Cameron Williams, Hayden Conner, Gunnar Helm 56 – Matthew Golden 51 – DJ Campbell 44 – Ryan Wingo 42 –Isaiah Bond 40 – Jaydon Blue, Juan Davis 35 – Tre Wisner 25 – Silas Bolden 22 – Cole Hutson 5 – DeAndre Moore 3 – Colin Page 2 – Ryan Niblett – First noteworthy takeaway is DeAndre Moore with just five snaps on Saturday. I don't beleive there was an injury, and I don't necessarily think the drops from the Florida game are the reason either. I do think the answer for why there was shortage of snaps for Moore can be found when looking at Juan Davis' snap count. That's a season high 40 snaps for Davis. Texas stayed in 12 personnel a lot on Saturday to combat the 3-high look from Arkansas. – Ryan Wingo outsnapped Isaiah Bond, but did not record a reception. *** Defense Out of 60 possible defensive snaps: 59 – Jahdae Barron 54 – Anthony Hill Jr. 51 – Jaylon Guilbeau 47 – Malik Muhammad 43 – Michael Taaffe 42 – Trey Moore 41 – Barryn Sorrell 40 – Andrew Mukuba 37 – Jelani McDonald 36 – Liona Lefau 35 – Vernon Broughton 34 – Colin Simmons 33 – Alfred Collins 29 – Jermayne Lole 20 – Ethan Burke 14 – Bill Norton, Gavin Holmes 12 – Kobe Black 9 – TyAnthony Smith 7 – David Gbenda 3 – Alex January – Jahdae only sat for one snap on Saturday. But more impressive than that, he spent 12 snaps in the box, 4 snaps in the slot and the other 41 out wide at cornerback. He was everywhere. – Guilbeau is going to be on Barron path if I had to bet next year. Very impactful. –Only 33 snaps from Alfred Collins, but man did he make the most of them. Again, he was the highest graded player for the Longhorns on Saturday vs. Arkansas.

OTF Premium Aaliyah Chavez Update (Wed 11:30 AM)
Blake Munroe posted a topic in On Texas Football Forum
Spoke with some sources regarding Lubbock Monterey’s Aaliyah Chavez and where things stand on National Signing Day. Don’t be surprised if Chavez, the nation’s No. 1 player for 2025, doesn’t sign today. I’m not saying she won’t for sure, but it very well may not happen and it wouldn’t shock the schools below if that were the case. Here’s the rundown on what I’m hearing on the schools in the running as of mid-morning. Texas: Feels great about their chances. Basically just waiting on a decision at this point. They’ve done everything right and have been thought to be the leader for awhile. Texas Tech: Chavez just wrapped up an OV there and it went well. They’re pushing the whole “hometown hero” scenario to her. The ADIDAS affiliation looms large, however, as Chavez is a Nike kid. Oklahoma: One of the schools that has been quietly making progress in this recruitment. Some schools on this list wouldn’t be shocked if it ended up being OU. UCLA: She enjoyed her time out west, but those in the know would be surprised if the Bruins were the pick unless there’s a very large NIL push at the last moment. LSU: The general consensus is that the Tigers have signed too many players. They seem to be out of it.- 24 replies

OnTexasFootball spoke with a source close to Texas 4-star++ safety commit Zelus Hicks (Carrollton, Ga./High). Hicks was on campus at Tennessee and Georgia Tech the last two weekends. This weekend, the 6-1, 185-pound safety will make an OV to Florida. The following weekend will be his OV to Texas for the Kentucky game.

Today will be a busy day for many sports on the Forty Acres, especially when it comes to baseball. The Longhorns are expecting 16 kids to sign at some point throughout the day. Don't expect many fireworks, as it should be a relatively quiet NSD. I'm being told that there aren't any surprises or decisions that they're monitoring. The staff is very excited about this class and the potential of it. It's been the status quo for a while now, but the focus will continue to be on 2026 recruiting.

A quick pair of recruiting nuggets for the Longhorns stemming from the secondary. To echo our Gerry Hamilton, Texas is in a really strong spot for Wiregrass Ranch (Tampa, FL) CB Graceson Littleton after his official visit this weekend in Austin. Littleton is expected to make a decision soon per a source. Following the weekend, things are looking positively for the Longhorns to add a second cornerback to the class. *** Additionally, I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown yesterday afternoon, but wanted to reiterate – the plan for now is 2026 five-star defensive back Bralan Womack will be in Austin for the Kentucky game November 23. Womack, out of Flowood, Mississippi, is a top-30 ranked player by the 247Sports Composite rankings early on in the 2026 class and was offered by the Longhorns July 25th when he visited for the Pool Bash. With Zelus Hicks now reclassified to the 2025 class, Womack allows for Texas to return to big game hunting in the defensive back position for the 2026 class.

OTF Premium Five-Star 2025 WR Update (Tuesday AM)
CJ Vogel posted a topic in On Texas Football Forum
Texas has three wide receivers committed in the 2025 class at the moment, three really good wide receivers at that. However, I received word that the Longhorns are continuing to work on Oregon commit Dakorien Moore. A flip of the Ducks WR commit would be difficult and I am told it would be rather unlikely, however, it is worth mentioning that the phone is still being picked up for now. Moore committed to Oregon on July 4 and has been firm since then. Right now, this just remains something to monitor.- 55 replies

Texas 4-star++ commit Jaime Ffrench (Jacksonville/Mandarin) will be making an official visit to Florida this weekend. Ffrench told the Texas staff about it prior to it getting out publicly. OTF considers this a free trip to go with LSU at Florida along with his high school quarterback and FSU commit Tramell Jones Jr., who Florida has been pursuing. I spoke with a source close to Ffrench earlier today as well. The source said Miami was the only school that would be a threat to Texas, but Ffrench has remained solid with the Horns.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is on the podium to discuss the Longhorns' victory over Florida and to also look ahead to Arkansas this weekend in Fayetteville. Texas is currently the No. 3 team in the country with three games remaining in the regular season. Notes and quotes in the comments below.

Lorena (Texas) High 2025 DL and Baylor pledge Jackson Blackwell tells OnTexasFootball he plans to attend the game Saturday with his family. This is the second Texas game he will attend this season, and is a prospect the Horns staff continues to evaluate.

Tramon Mark Injury Update Texas transfer guard Tramon Mark is expected to be out at until the Longhorns play in New York November 21 due to an ankle injury suffered prior to the Colorado closed door scrimmage October 26. That would mean the 6-5 guard would miss the next three games vs. Houston Christian, Chicago State and Mississippi Valley State. Mark missed the Longhorns season opener, an 80-72 loss to Ohio State in Las Vegas.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian provided an update on some injuries during the SEC Teleconference Wednesday morning. Sarkisian says WR Isaiah Bond and DB Andrew Mukuba "have both had a good week so far." Also, RB Velton Gardner will miss the remainder of the season with an eye injury he suffered in practice earlier in the season. The SEC Availability Report will release town around 7:00 p.m. CST. We will see how the Longhorns shake out on their designations, right now I would list both Mukuba and Bond as questionable.

An updated look at the points per possession graph in the SEC via BCFToys.com. Texas ranks 1st in the country in points per possession allowed defensively (1.01) and 12th in the country on offense, scoring 3.13 points per offensive possession. – Oklahoma has the worst offense in the conference. – Mississippi State has far and away the worst defense in the conference, and the entire country for that matter. – Four teams on the Texas schedule include Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas A&M. – Ole Miss losing to Kentucky looks all sorts of improbable then and inexcusable now. – Vanderbilt sneaky up the charts as well. Can't believe they lost to Georgia State. – Tennessee's offense has fallen quickly down to earth. The Vols are averaging just 22.8 PPD in SEC play this year, without scoring 30 points once. Yuck.

2026 Temple CB Jason Bradford tells OTF that he is a maybe to visit this weekend vs. Florida. Bradford has been one to monitor over the last couple of months dating back to the spring. Texas cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph has yet to show a lot of interest, however the Texas recruiting department has remaining in brief contact. Bradford was last on campus June 1 for the Elite Camp where sources indicated to me he performed well in front of the Texas staff. The 6-foot, 3-inch cornerback out of Temple, Texas holds seven offers so far – Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas State, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Lamar.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is back in front of the microphone today for his weekly press conference. The Longhorns will host Florida this weekend as they return from their second, and final, bye week of the season. Florida lost to Georgia in Jacksonville over the weekend, but most importantly, might have lost their starting quarterback, DJ Lagway, for the season due to injury. Notes and quotes in the comments down below.

That meeting on November 30 in College Station is going to be very difficult for the Longhorns. The world watched last night as Texas A&M disappeared in the second half and fell short in Columbia by the score of 44–20. Remember, that was a tied game at halftime, then the Gamecocks flipped a switch and dominated the final two quarters. But as I was watching that game, I couldn't help but find ways to compare what I was seeing with Texas A&M on the field to what that will look like against Texas later on this season. There were a few key points that I saw that lead me to believe that matchup for the Longhorns is pretty unfavorable at the moment. First, Texas A&M's pass rush is legit. Quinn Ewers has his strengths. But that does not include sack evasion and pocket mobility. We have been critical this season in wanting to see him do more when under duress in the pocket. Texas A&M did not sack LaNorris Sellers on Saturday, but they accumulated 21 pressures and made life extremely difficult in straight drop back sets. Sellers a really talented quarterback. At 6-feet-3-inches and 240 pounds, he is a handful to bring down and that played into his advantage all evening. The Gamecock quarterback took off 15 times with the ball on Saturday. Of those 15 rush attempts, eight were scrambles and seven were designed QB runs. Sellers accounted for 106 yards on the ground as well, 50 of which coming after contact. That won't be a p art of the Texas offense. Now, Texas has a better offensive line. Well, at least they should. But the point remains, Texas won't have the luxury that Sellers brought to the Gamecock offense on Saturday. Next, I think it is great that the Longhorns get to play Arkansas prior to the Aggies. For a few reasons, one going on the road for a little taste of the hostility will be good for the Longhorns. But more importantly, the play at quarterback will almost mirror that of Marcel Reed exactly. Texas has done great at containing mobile quarterbacks under Pete Kwiatkowski. Whether Texas faces Taylen Green or Malachi Singleton, the threat of the running quarterback remains. This is a great appetizer for Marcel Reed in my eyes. Containment will be key and keeping 22 eyes on the quarterback will be essential. Really important the Longhorns play well in Fayetteville in that regard. But on a real positive note. The Texas A&M offense is not special. It's truly not. Texas A&M does not have a game-changing quarterback and their weapons are average at best. Their wide receivers don't create separation, the Aggies don't have an impact tight end and now Le'Veon Moss, unfortunately, might be done for the year. South Carolina has a tremendous edge rushing tandem and were able to create 21 pressures of their own – nine of those came from true freshman EDGE Dylan Stewart. But the point is the offense struggles. How will Texas A&M find explosive plays outside of the off script QB run game against Texas? I don't know.

The SEC Race: Potential knockout games this weekend Five teams legitimately remain in the race to advance to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta December 7. That is barring a number of upsets that change the course, to be clear. This weekend, it's Georgia on the road and LSU at home with difficult contests that could shift the conference race. The five teams with one loss are Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee and LSU. Four of the contenders play each other later in the month, but there are still tough games before the head-to-head battles to get to Atlanta take place. OnTexasFootball provides a run down of the five teams schedules to start the week. Georgia (5-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 at Ole Miss 11/16 vs. Tennessee 11/23 vs. UMass 11/30 vs. Georgia Tech Georgia heads to Oxford with Jaxson Dart having a lot of confidence, and Carson Beck arguably playing the worst of any SEC quarterback with 11 INT's in the last five games. Tennessee (4-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 vs. Mississippi State 11/16 at Georgia 11/23 vs. UTEP 11/30 at Vanderbilt The Vols have the toughest road schedule remaining to navigate, with the Georgia game a knockout game.
