A little off subject, but Eric Metcalf was a great football player who did not have much supporting cast. As a result I think he gets underrated, but he was dynamic with his speed, hands and wiggle in his hips.

Adrian colbert and sheroid evans were some speed demons. Still remember sheroid walking down a punt retun for us to celebrate with whoever scored, after blocking, having to hurdle another guy and whoever scored having like a 40 yard advantage on him.

With Easton Royal breaking track records on Saturday night, it got me thinking about the fastest players to ever come through Texas. These were some of the first guys that came to mind. Shoot, Mitchell might just be headed straight to the track after college. If he is still posting 10.1 or 10.0 legitimately next year, might be worth the conversation of hanging up the football cleats.
