  1. Past hour
  2. Speaking of Endries, what a bright spot he was. He looked like a bulldozer going downhill on the catch he took close (or into) the RZ going through multiple defenders.
  3. Maybe sark approaches the portal differently. Recievers couldn’t get separation and when they did arch missed and if he didn’t miss the ball was dropped. I thought wingo has sure fire hands ? That drop on the 3rd down was critical. Third year in a row with an elite defense and mediocre offense to go with it. At this point Texas ought to kick a field goal on first down as soon as they enter the red zone.
  4. Arch just needed to complete the easy passes, i would have liked to more wr screens. It’s like we played with a 1/4 of the playbook but i trust Sark on to next week
  5. Finebaum is looking for a boulder to hide under after the glazing he did of Manning.
  6. It was such a shocking and disappointing performance, and IMO it feels like he was just mentally overwhelmed throughout. Clearly he needs a lot more reps. After initially being pissed about our 3 non-conference home game schedule vs. scrubs coming up, it's probably just what the doctor ordered for Arch. I have no doubt he will learn a lot from this one and get better in a hurry.
  7. On the glass half full side, pressure should be off, no more target on their back, and they can play as the hungry ones as most likely Georgia will be the favorite to win the SEC next week
  8. Was the la know aggressiveness because of what Sark saw early with Arch. I almost think thought he could be vanilla in the first half then break out the wrinkles in the second half when he had seen Patricia’s defense
  9. Yeah, I wouldn’t do that on the two. Not enough space. The OL was getting push but OSU stuffed us on 4th down because they sold out to stop the run in the middle. They knew it was coming. We all did.
  10. You win in modern football by being able to throw and catch, Yes having a QB with some mobility helps but look at who has wins national championships now days, Its either great defensive teams who have solid game managers who can hit key passes when they have to (Ohio St, Michigan. Georgia) or guys with superstar passers (Alabama, LSU, Clemson)
  11. Pre snap motion would not have helped there was plenty of open receivers. Arch just couldn’t hit anything today. His mechanics went out the window.
  12. Yesterday
  13. Yep Sark needs to take the bounce the ball 10 feet in front of the Receiver play out. Sark should have known that Manning wasn’t going to be able to make any easy throws or check downs. Lots of motion and handoffs I guess. It doesn’t matter about vanilla. That’s the dumbest thing I heard all day. Wingo’s penalty was not called by Sark. Killed the drive. The WR’s and especially Endries was open a lot.
  14. I’m wondering if the lack of pre-snap motion is due to offensive line being new and Sark & co didn’t want to have potentially more pre-snap penalties than we already had. Otherwise, doesn’t make sense, this is Arch’s third year in this playbook, he should know it. Only other thing I can think of is Sark is thinking long term and didn’t want to reveal anything game 1 since it doesn’t really impact Texas’ playoff chances win or lose. Obviously would rather win, but peaking at the end of the year is preferred over shooting your shot early.
  15. I didn’t like the game plan but to your own point, guys were open and arch stunk it up. Sark takes too long to abandon the theory of what works when execution charity isn’t it allowing to. He gets the qb will rebound until it’s too late.
  16. This is so true. We didn’t need Arch to win the game for us. Our run game was good. We just needed him to not lose the game for us which he did.
  17. That’s fair, but I definitely categorize shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties and wild throws as a face plant in any event it’s week 1… adjust and gear up for the swamp 🤘
  18. As underwhelming as this performance was, its start 1 of game 1.
  19. It’s been a problem the previous two seasons and appears to be a problem again this season. It can’t be the QB only.
  20. Would a toss play on the goal line be less “vanilla”? At some point it becomes a physical fight and our guys still aren’t up to the challenge.
  21. If Arch threw the bubble screen OSU would have taken it 98 yards. But, I do believe that if you are going to run Arch it has to be to the outside. On another note, Sark knows his OL can get the push.
  22. It’s almost like Sark has a really young team and a QB that hasn’t been able to master the playbook. The cognitive gymnastics going on to get past the glaring truth of this game- Arch sucked.
