Texas has lost very many athletes to the portal! Texas has hosted many players from the "portal" who have chosen other programs to commit to! It's apparent that The University of Texas at Austin has lost it's prestige and more drastically, a place for high school recruits to "Stay" and players in the "Portal" to choose?!?? This has truly manifest itself this year! Whether it not "Texas" retains any credibility as a top tier choice for college football players, is yet to be decided. However, for Texas to be "outspent" by Texas Tech---is both disappointing and more critically ---a joke!

Ok, I missed this info about not re-engaging with Barnes. The last thing I read was about Muschamp’s call which seeming was reeling him back in. I truly do not understand Barnes’ final thinking/decision unless it was based on money and nothing else. To me, he had starter potential and was a player the coaches would not want to lose. If he overestimated his NIL value, I do understand that.
