  1. Past hour
  2. I would have to respectfully disagree that the G5 team should automatically be included based on their record against other G5 teams. JMU lost by 14 to the only P4 team they played and Tulane lost by 35 to the team they are about to play again in the playoffs. The lines for both of their games are absurd for a CFP game. I agree that they need something to play for at the end of the day, which is why I think proving you deserve a spot by beating a fringe P4 playoff team in a play in is the most fair way to ensure the committee selects the true best 12 (or 16) teams.
  3. I feel like the coaches learned their lesson with the cat from SJSU.
  4. This had been in the works for awhile now, but on Monday morning the Longhorns secured a commitment from 2027 elite outfielder Grant Westphal. Westphal is a national Top 10-15 type player out of Kansas. 107 exit velo. Great offense and defense. This is big time.

  5. @Jeff Howe Have you heard anything about bowl tv ratings in the last couple of years? I haven’t watched many bowl games at all recently, even the marquee matchups. They’re no better for viewers than preseason games with starters on the bench. I have to think the bowl game money well will start running dry.
  6. Tied for 7th with 7 drops
  7. That’s too many games for G5 G6 teams to play with a 2 round play in tournament.
  8. Horrible. Do you know where Wingo was?
  9. We love those guys 😂😂😂
  10. That’s insane…… given the hype for him and the production last year that’s crazy to see someone with a clear cut path to the NFL that comes out and drops that many passes with all eyes on him. Sucks for him but dang that’s terrible as a receiver.
  11. Hmm a physically gifted Ryan W. with questionable hands?
  12. Still waiting for some big fish.
  13. 3rd most drops in the country this year
  14. Any OL's in the portal already that are worth keeping an eye on?
  15. We’ll see. But in my mind they should, especially if some O line opts out.
  16. This year, the first team out would be 9-3 USC. I don’t think the total G5 champ needs play them in this scenario. The total G5 champ in this scenario could be 15-0, 14-1 or 13-2. I think a team like that would deserve to be in without playing an additional game vs #16 USC at 9-3. I agree with the notion that the G5 should be included in the playoff. But the rigor that they have to show should be upped. I think a 4 team play in would be interesting and would make that champion deserving of being in
  17. They're not going to do that. Nor should they.
  18. He'll land in a good spot. Dude can start at multiple programs.
  19. Would you really want Arch to go 4 quarters if Campbell and perhaps Goosby and Wisner aren’t playing? I don’t think losing to Wash in 2022 hurt us in the least. We came back rather nicely the following year.
  20. I also wouldn’t mind the first team out in week 15 to have a play in game vs the G5 conference champ. If you really want the 12 best teams you should not be giving the G5 an auto bid.
  21. Today
  22. - Any participating team must be 9-3 or better - One autobid for each P4 conference. Let each conference decide how they want the autobid to be earned- if the conference wants it to be winner of CCG, highest CFP ranked team, etc - If a G5/G6 team is in the Top 15 (unlikely), they are in. If not, the only route is a G5/G6 play in. - One spot reserved for G6. Four G6 champion team, two round G6 play in. Winner of the play in gets the G6 spot - G6 teams could all start playing in Week zero so that their championship weekend is a week earlier (earlier CFB? Yes please!) and the first round of the G6 play in is concurrent with P4 championship weekend, with the G6 interleague championship in between P4 CCG weekend and the first weekend of the CFP.
  23. We good on Ryan Williams. Can’t catch a cold.
  24. Hopefully, this helps retain Wisner. He would be the presumptive starter (or at least co-starter if we get a RB1 in the Portal). Baxter leaving clears the deck for more carries and more NIL. Wisner is a Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft based mainly on his special teams ability for a RB3. Another year in college with NIL won’t hurt and could increase his draft stock.
