  1. Past hour
  2. I think you are mostly right, but if a guy like Coleman and/or Baugh enter, you don’t need to worry about a bidding war. You get those players by any means necessary. If you add those two players, you become the favorite especially if you add a few OL and DBs too
  3. Dude's chicks finally grow up despite Dude's attempts to plant them. Some of then get sick and he fears they have Newcastle, which could wipe out his flock. So after strangling one he sends the hen off to the A&M lab for diagnosis. The lab reports back: this chicken died from a broken neck.
  4. Until players actually enter the portal this question is silly.
  5. Why do they have astroturf at Kyle Field? To keep the cheerleaders from grazing.
  6. Good. Because Arch is gonna be a monster.
  7. Hopefully that’s mayo considering who this Hi is likely for.
  8. Two Aggies had bagged a deer and were dragging it by the rear legs back to the truck. But the antlers kept getting stuck in the mud. One says to the other, "This is tough but we only got about 1 mile left to reach the truck." A third hunter saw their dilemma and told them, "If you drag the deer the other way, the antlers won't stick in the mud." So the Aggies give it try and it works! The first Aggie says, "That hunter was right! This way is a lot easier." The second Aggie says, "Sure was, but now we're two miles from the truck."
  9. Dude graduates from Texas A&M school of Agriculture, goes into a farm supply store and orders two hundred chicks, explaining to the owner that he wants to start a chicken farm. Two weeks later, he returns to the store and buys another two hundred chicks. The owner is curious, but doesn't say anything. The same thing happens when the Aggie returns in another two weeks for another two hundred chicks. When he returns for the fourth time, the owner's curiosity is too much for him, so he asks the Aggie why he keeps coming back for so many chicks. The Aggie says, "Well, I guess I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what. I think I'm either planting them too deep or too close together." Bemused by his lack of success, the Aggie sends off a report of what he has done to Texas A&M, asking for advice. Three weeks later, the reply comes back, saying simply, "Please send soil sample."
  10. My estimation is they absolutely will. We will see how it plays out, but I am expecting Texas to be as active in the portal this year as they ever have been under Sarkisian. In a way, I expect it to be an overcorrection from last year. Every position will be reviewed and will be on the table for additions out of the portal.
  11. Season's Greetings.
  12. Sorry Baylor not sorry.
  13. Lane's always able to field a stud offense, all he has to do is hit on a half decent defense and his team's dangerous. And LSU usually is able to get good defensive prospects, certainly easier than at Ole Miss I would guess.
  14. Gerry you better go post “bye” on whatever team the committ is flipping from😂
  15. Hi
  16. Spending big isn't necessarily the answer. Hitting on the players you spend on is the answer. Texas must hit on transfers - as it did with Mosley or Kanu - without a high whiff rate - like Niblack.
  17. Should stick with 85 even if expanded to 105 due to NIL allotment, unless the player is okay with just the scholarship and no NIL. There is already so much dead NIL on our roster that should be purged.
  18. Today
  19. This. More scholarships at D1 means more spots at D2 and D3 for kids that may not have received those opportunities. More college-trained athletes for various sports (and opportunities for some kids to get out of bad life situations). My opinion from the rabbit hole is this is good for football growth internationally. This applies to all collegiate/olympic sports, but football is barely scratching the surface overseas and this increases player supply for various leagues.
  20. All the teams have the same amount to spend via revenue share. We also have the best reach, so our NIL deals (which are outside the salary cap) should be the best. We do not (and will not) have a mechanism to pay cash under the table. Texas is only limited by the law (or SEC/NCAA rules). We can come up with any amount of money we need. Some of the posts above confuse the current roster (i.e., there was no cap before this summer) and next years roster.
  21. I could see Kelly at Penn State or UF as a very highly paid OC
  22. Unfortunately (?), CFB is a video game now in terms of managing a team and buying a roster.
  23. Sark needs to take a long look in the mirror.
