Also, the chances of both Sark and Kenny both still being around in six years is also incredibly low. I think people are remembering ASU's run last year as a great team but that's just recency bias. They are a middle of the pack team in the Big 12 without Kenny. -

People just want hate watch us, lol. Almost like what we said about leaving Texas out would have unintended consequences for future OOC scheduling is coming true. Also, the Notre Dame favoritism from the committee is a complete joke. UConn doesn't get the same benefit and they are independent? -

Sure. But it doesn't change the fact that the excitement for a Texas-Arizona State series would be significantly less than any of the schools mentioned above. -

ASU almost beat Texas in the 2024 playoffs. Arkansas was rescheduled at Arkansas request for that originally scheduled earlier. -

Posted this on twitter this morning and wanted to carry on the conversation to the board. No team in the country has scheduled as many marquee, non-conference home and homes than Texas in the last ten years. 2017 β at USC 2018 β vs. USC 2019 β vs. LSU ... greatest offense of all time 2020 β at LSU ... cancelled to Covid 2021 β at Arkansas ... game scheduled in 2011 2022 β vs. Alabama ... one year removed from Heisman Bryce Young and 2023 β at Alabama ... Saban was 103β9 at home before the game 2024 β at Michigan ... reigning National Champs 2025 β at Ohio State ... reigning National Champs 2026 β vs. Ohio State 2027 β vs. Michigan 2028 β at Notre Dame 2029 β vs. Notre Dame That's as good as it gets. Not to mention Georgia was originally scheduled for 2028-29 which was cancelled when Texas joined the SEC. That series was agreed to in 2018. To act like Arizona State is on the level of any of the teams mentioned above, sans Arkansas, is outrageous.

How competition can improve Ryan Wingo's mindset and preparation. Wingo has flashed so much potential in his first two years, and he looks so damn dangerous whenever he has the ball in his hands, but I'm not sure anyone thinks he has lived up to his prodigious potential. I was hopeful after his offseason Lasik procedure that the drops would go by the wayside, but they did not go away even with corrective eye surgery. While a lot has been said about Coleman drawing double teams and making life easier for Wingo, not a lot has been made of what having Coleman opposite Wingo can create urgency to up his game. Wingo's gone from being a much ballyhooed 5 star WR who was given the keys last year, to now finding himself as option #2 on his team. That would get me working harder and make this a contract year for both receivers.
