The announcers really were trying to sell that Canady went to Tech because they would work on her hitting. That may have been a factor, but I'm hard pressed to believe that the $1 mil was not the bigger factor. If Tech wins it, it's proven that in softball you can basically buy your championship.

Mike White has had Canady's number for some reason. Probably had more success against her than any other team in the country, even OU. I know I'm behind on this thread and I hope this doesn't sound like a repetitive question, but I know a few weeks ago there was some discussion on Coffee & Football about the staff wanting to add one more big minutes piece, I believe a CG, because there was a question about what a projected starting lineup would be and you said it was hard to say as of then because we didn't have that CG out of the portal yet... (I might have misheard). We wanted a CG that had size, could shoot from deep and was a multi-year starter. As you stated, we are still after those same traits, but I was wondering if the emergence of Simeon Wilcher and what we have planned for him has kind of changed the outlook on this last roster spot to go from potential starting CG out of the portal to a role player CG?
