  1. Past hour
  2. Well, that's no bueno. Because the rest of their offense is hot garbage lol.
  3. I remember the Sorry Bastards thing. It was true unfiltered hate and those of us that lived it have never forgotten it.
  4. Today
  5. Honestly, don’t mess with staying in Lexington. It’s easier and cheaper to stay in the east end in Louisville or in Cincinnati. It is a bit of a drive but it’ll be cheaper and have more to do than you would in Lex. I lived in Louisville and love it up there just not in the cards to get back up there this year.
  6. Texas women’s basketball just got a big time commitment from 2026 5 star PG Anliah “Lizz” Spaight 5’6” from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High! Welcome to 40 acres Anliah “Lizz” Spaight and family. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

  7. I was not around then. But after reading this thread, found this Barking Carnival article that aligns with what you shared: https://www.barkingcarnival.com/2012/10/11/3492130/1976-tx-ou-a-bitter-mean-end-of-an-era
  8. a lot of talk about Collin Klein being a leading candidate
  9. Back when? Six weeks?
  10. So your saying there’s a chance, confirmed now arch will be best qb on the field lol
  11. i’m gonna be there with a good buddy that’s from versailles ky, we are doing some bourbon trips thursday and friday
  12. Between the 76 and 77 games I never witnessed more intensity and downright brutal hitting. There would have been dozens of personal foul and targeting calls if played by 2025 rules.
  13. Yesterday
  14. OU is lying about the length of recovery. If everything goes well during surgery he'll be back.
  15. I'm guessing that criminal broke his thumb late in the game. Pure pansy talk.
  16. Hey, the nation can whine about Texas missing all these starting QBs until the cows come home. If it increases our chances of making the CFP, then it doesn’t bother me in the least.
  17. For some reason while reading this I flashed back to 1977 (hopefully not one of the three you missed lol). The cleat was on the other foot that year as our # 1 QB (Mark McBath) suffered a season-ending injury on the 7th play of the game, then our # 2 QB (Jon Aune) came in and HE was injured (season-ending) after 9 plays (those Sooners were a tough bunch on defense). I remember thinking "we are screwed now". Randy McEachern, who had barely played, came in and played well enough, 4-8 passing for just 57 yards but handing off to Earl Campbell, who scored the only TD, and avoiding getting injured himself. And we won 13-6 on our way to an undefeated regular season. (Still too soon to speak about the ensuing Cotton Bowl game) You never know.
  18. So he broke his thumb on his throwing hand and still played 3 quarters? Sounds fishy.
  19. Very true. I think it contributed to Royal's early retirement.
  20. It's indisputable that Royal helped Fairbanks and Switzer on Switzer's request. Switzer ran an outlaw program thereafter. FBI investigations. Grade changing probation. Cocaine dealing QB. Women beating RB. How many felonies do they need to commit?
  21. Live in Cincinnati. I’ll be there
  22. The real spygate happened in 72 when Fairbanks was still HC. Royal let it burn for a few years before it came to a head before the 76 game. I still remember DKR having dry heaves after that game.
  23. Thanks for posting. I’m going but have never been there. Planning to stay in Louisville and drive in unless someone tells me that’s a terrible idea.
  24. Anybody here going and have any tips on where to stay? Never been to Kentucky and going to try to get there Thursday to check out the Keeneland race track for a few days prior to the game. Hotels seem a bit pricy online (i know last minute) so i'm guessing we are there big draw? ha. Any recs or anything would be extremely helpful. Thanks and hook em!
  25. My comment here is a bit different... I have watched Texas -OU game since 1968 and have only missed being in the North half of the Cotton Bowl Stadium 3 times in that span. All the misses due to having surgery myself or a family member's medical need. I've seen several times where the Longhorns Defense had Zero U under control when the starting Okie QB had to leave the field with an injury. And what do you know? The backup QB in crimson and cream trots onto the field and plays lights out, hot as can be. It's really frustrating for the Texas fans because it seems like the Defense relaxes a bit when the starter goes out and the whole complexion of the game changes. I really hope "What's his name QB" doesn't get all motivated and play a career best game against Texas and I also hope this edition of the Texas Defense doesn't relax with the savior from the Portal sitting this one out. Hook 'Em! And don't forget your little packets of Mayo for the Fletcher's Corny Dogs at the State Fair of Texas!
  26. I was looking forward to facing off against Mateer but thems are the brakes. We can’t control anything except playing out game play by play, game by game. Kicking OU’s ass is glorious whenever there is an opportunity. First… Florida.
