Sark & returning coaches have earned our trust recruiting, LaAllen Clark & Orphey have done a really good job. Chad Scott is an unproven commodity at this point as Texas’s recruiter of running backs, and that is concerning.

It’s like they don’t want to learn sark & staffs results have worked year in and out here, Even after we went 5-7.

Sucks about James Lott. What about Jalen? ok now being serious, losing a legacy to the biggest fraud coach in football would be a bad look.

Maybe KJ Edwards will be Mike Elko’s savior when he’s 0-2 vs Texas and trying to pick up his first W in November 2026.

thought this summer would be different with recruiting. unfortunately not. hoping for a big close again, even though that feels unrealistic to do every cycle.

A&M is making a play there too, as expected. The optics of Texas landing both Ojo and Turntine is not something A&M wants to see happen. Decision will come between the Aggies and Longhorns for Turntine.

One thing that is important to point out- KJ is not a 3 down back in the SEC imo. He is not carrying the ball 25 times a game. He is a 3rd down back who is a difference maker out of the backfield. He is a smaller J Blue. If Aggy gives him 3 down back money, that is a mistake.

Texas has plenty of NIL funds chillax. Why use all your money up in July to create momentum when you can create momentum with on the field results first. We battle in December

Couple of afternoon recruiting notes Wanted to pass along a couple of afternoon recruiting notes. Confidence around Texas remains with 4-star+ EDGE Dre Quinn and 4-star+ DL Vodney Cleveland. Texas is also doing pretty well with 4-star+ DL/EDGE Bryce Perry-Wright. But the Texas A&M visit looms. Clemson also in it. OTF doesn’t have as much confidence with 4-star++ WR James Lott. Texas had a solid visit, but we believe there is still ground to be made up. USC is strong. Oregon takes their mighty swing this weekend.

So after watching this coaching staff, do you REALLY think we won't have one lol
