  1. Past hour
  2. Freeman is not only a good hitter but he provides a ton of lineup versatility/flexibility. He can play OF, INF and C if necessary. Those types of players are hard to find. Ashton Larson may not provide the same power as Moroknek but Larson was very good as a freshman in the SEC. He was injured for a portion of this season. Grubbs, Luke Harrison and Riojas are returning. And some talented freshman pitchers will be here to compete. Aiden Robbins has been good in the Cape Cod league so far. Hitting around .300 with 4 HR, 6 doubles and a triple. Larson and Robbins were both selected for the Cape Cod All-Star game (Saturday, July 19th)
  3. Happens when a teams has good recruits. Good luck to ALL the recruits that go Pro.
  4. Happy for Alfred and his family. He could of bailed for a more opportune situation when he was passed over or when Bo left, but he kept working and gets rewarded with generational wealth.🤘
  5. Also big props to @Jeff Howe for pointing out that all fanbases engage in such thinking - when we get a commit, it's because of the program and the relationships, when "they" get the commit it's the bags. Many of us did it (myself included) when Ojo committed to Tech. It's just human nature, but not used to seeing such intellectual honesty in a discussion of SEC football 🤘😉 Edit: To be clear, we're fortunate that we have mods that don't go beyond matter-of-fact statements about larger NIL deals during these discussions and not equating players taking those deals to moral failures.
  6. Everyone including Texas have been dropping “bags” for a long time. Had buddies of mine get “handshakes” in the 70s.
  7. Wasn’t there just an article about how explosive he was and that he was going to be another Kamara just a few weeks ago? Maybe let’s not pay attention to those offseason random takes.
  8. Today
  9. This article is out of pocket, my my favorite pastime is hating the Cowboys. I've been following Blue since rookie mini camp and everyone I've read, listened to, or watched spoke of how impressed they were with Blue. One bad article is an anomaly not the norm. If Dallas doesn't want him, they're free to cut him after preseason being the 5th round picks have to make the roster and I bet he'll be picked up faster than when hit turned the corner on Clemson.

  11. Freeman is the one that hurts. That made a dent for sure. The rest are manageable.
  12. Was a matter of when, not if… unfortunately.
  13. People already hated Texas. Bring it on.
  14. I broke it down like this to a buddy of mine who’s a fan of opposing team. Texas was a sleeping giant getting rocks thrown at them for close to 15 years, Now the giants awake, NIL is legal, Texas is a very profitable brand, So now the excuses and “he only went there because they paid him” has started. Don’t hate the player, Hate the game.
  15. Bobby still coming with fire this week…
  16. Don’t disagree but when politicians (whichever party) inject themselves into the middle of our sport it makes it more difficult.
  17. The person I read the most on these topics is Ross Dellenger of Yahoo. He is absolutely dialed in. He seems to think that an EO will do nothing more than establish the CSC. After that, it’s not much meat.
  18. When Notre Dame and Oregon come into the state of Texas and take two legacies like Kaydon Finley and Jalen Lott with and because of larger NIL offers, excuse me if I tell Kirby Smart and Georgia welcome to recruiting in 2025.
  19. I agree 100%! Jeff’s soliloquy on this topic got my loins girded! Does anyone have a link to the Dawg Nation rant that started this discussion?
  20. EOs aren't "law" per se. Since SCOTUS has already broadly ruled on this issue, the EO is fighting upstream. I don't see this moving the needle much. I do see a lawsuit for a clearinghouse denial coming soon.
